Deb and Susie – “FINALLY, A COPICS CLASS!!!”, $30
After many requests for a class on Copic markers, we have finally scheduled one! Do you have Copic markers and aren’t quite sure what to do with them? What paper to use? What ink(s) to use? How to blend? Or not? Have you seen Copic markers used on cards and wondered, “How was that done?” And, finally, “Do I want to get started creating my own Copic collection? Deb and Susie have created a class to answer these questions and more. Stamped cards will be provided for you and the basics of Copic use will be demonstrated. You will then color your chosen cards and have 4 to 5 finished cards to take home. NOTE: WE ARE NOT CERTIFIED COPIC INSTRUCTORS, BUT USE COPICS AND ENJOY THEM SO MUCH WE THOUGHT WE WOULD PASS ON WHAT KNOWLEDGE WE DO HAVE. Please bring your basic kit and any Copic markers you may have. Please have your Copics marked with your name or initials so that you will go home with your own markers.

Marj – “CREATIVE FUN WITH PAPER CASTING”, $30
It’s been a few years since Marj has taught this fun-filled summer time class. Paper Casting involves pressing wet special paper fibers in a ceramic/clay mold. When dry, the paper “cast” is a beautiful, white (usually) paper replica of the mold, which makes a great embellishment for cards, box tops or other items. Come in and see the samples! You will be able to make 8-10 casts, and choose your favorite two casts to mount on two cards. Card kits will vary. You can take your other completed casts home to adorn other cards or art projects. Marj has lots of tips for success and you’ll get a handout and even a cookie made from a mold! Sign up for the afternoon OR evening class, and bring your basic kit, please.
Saturday, July 30, 1-4 p.m.
Susie – “CREATING A SPECIAL STAR BOOK”, $32
Apparently it’s time to offer this class again because customers keep asking for it! You will learn the fundamentals of folding, embellishing, attaching “signatures” together, and covering your own very special book! There is a sample at the store of a star book, and Susie will be bringing in the class project soon. You can either make the book according to Susie’s sample, or embellish it YOUR way! The fundamental techniques will remain the same. If you want to use different stamps for your book, please bring them to the class. Otherwise, just bring your basic kit, including a lot strong double sided adhesive.
On August 16 or 17
Lisa from Local King Rubber Stamps
