There's quite a bit to prepare for:  a) Inchies Club meets next Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Art 'n Soul . . . please join us, whether or not you have Inchies to share; b) Recycled Rubber is a week from Saturday, meaning you need to bring in whatever you want included in the August 6 Recycled Rubber Day by Wednesday of next week with your initials on each and every item to make sure you're given the appropriate credit when the item is purchased.

I hope I'll see you at Sandy Jackson's class this Saturday; Sandy is with Some-Assembly-Required (SAR) and she is making a special trip to Art 'n Soul to teach you some fantastic techniques. The Hasty Lace class begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Magical Pop-Up Dove Card class begins at 1:30 p.m. If you're not on the 'register', call the store for more details at 360.357.6820. I believe Sandy is also bringing a small 'trunk' show to the store on class day . . . items you can purchase directly from Sandy whether or not you take the class. So come on in and take a look . . . you'll love what she has to offer. SAR is one of the more popular vendors at the Puyallup Stamp Show (along with Magenta, Earth Art International, Judikins).

Look at these amazing cards and banners from Graphic 45's The Magic of Oz and the Christmas Emporium coming out this fall. I saw these on their blog and just had to share my enthusiasm with you . . .

'Next is this amazing Magic of Oz banner, also by Hilde. She is well known for her fabulous banners and this one is no exception! This banner is so gorgeous! It would look amazing in any room of the house!'

"When I saw this collection I knew I was going to make a banner. I decorated each tennant with paper first and then added my embellishments. I wanted to have a tennant with the main characters of the Wizard of Oz. So together with the chipboard with the word they are looking for in the famous movie, I thought this would be a perfect banner for a kids room! I love the colors of this collection! I added dots around the banners to highlight them. Lots of layering to create dimension. The chipboards are covered with Smooch spritz." -Hilde Janbroers

I'm totally inspired to dig in and do something fun, i.e., stamp, color, embellish  . . .  whatever it takes! Hope you'll do the same and bring your 'something fun' into the store for us to see, or take a picture of it and send it to us. We love seeing what you do!

A hunch is creativity trying to tell you something.
