2015 NORTHWEST PAPER CHASE -- "Games"
Art 'n Soul is very happy to announce we're participating in this year's Northwest Paper Chase. Our game is "marbles" . . . yes, that old-fashioned game that us 'olders' played on the ground. Passport books that enter you into the Paper Chase are available to order at Art 'n Soul right now . . . please stop in soon! They are only providing enough Passports to fulfill customer pre-orders at each participating store. You may purchase a Passport at Art 'n Soul or go online and purchase directly from Northwest Paper Chase -- just indicate Art 'n Soul is your 'home store' and the Passport will be delivered there for pickup.

The last week of February. I know it's a 'short' month but geez . . . it seems I just blinked and it was Valentine's Day. I'm afraid to blink again because I might have missed St. Patrick's Day!

Oh my! Marj never ceases to amaze me. This is one of the cards you will create in her March 28 class "Beautiful Backgrounds and Delightful Diecutting" . . . can you really wait that long? Better sign up fast! The remainder of the sample cards will be up at Art 'n Soul by Saturday (Feb. 28). Please stop in or call us at 360.357.6820 to sign up.

BEAUTIFUL BACKGROUNDS AND DELIGHTFUL DIECUTTING
Marj Marion $32

Join Marj for a great workshop where you will learn surprising ways to makebeautiful backgrounds, and handy tips and techniques for making your die cutting easier! We'll make several cards as we explore some mediums that might be lurking in your craft drawer (!), and experiment with some new twists on techniques. Join the fun, and bring a friend. Bring your Basic Kit, small trimmer, and die cut machine if you have one. Samples will be up the first week of March, but you can register at any time.

On the Magenta blog, beautiful backgrounds were made with alcohol inks.

I found a blog posting about arting up your mail! I love that idea and I hope you'll give it some thought. Not only will the recipient receive some 'colorful fun' in their mail box, it may brighten up the postal carrier's day too.

I love this card from Dina Kowal that she created using dies from Impression Obsession and the Micro Fine Silk Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I think it has a real elegant look.

On the RubberMoon blog, I instantly fell in love with those little people stamps all over again. I love how the various RubberMoon little stamp images combine to emphasize a simple message.
