PLEASE NOTE:  Art 'n Soul's Sunday hours will be 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. That extra half hour will allow staff, who work that day, to enjoy their church service before getting to the store. All other hours remain the same. Thank you!

2015 NORTHWEST PAPER CHASE -- "Games"
Art 'n Soul is very happy to announce we're participating in this year's Northwest Paper Chase. Our game is "marbles" . . . yes, that old-fashioned game that us 'olders' played on the ground. Passport books that enter you into the Paper Chase are available to order at Art 'n Soul right now . . . please stop in soon! They are only providing enough Passports to fulfill customer pre-orders at each participating store. You may purchase a Passport at Art 'n Soul or go online and purchase directly from Northwest Paper Chase -- just indicate Art 'n Soul is your 'home store' and the Passport will be delivered there for pickup.

Over on the RubberMoon blog, they are having a fun time launching their new stamp designs with Inchie Arts. Inchie Arts also has just released new black art squares. In this first blog posting, don't you just love what Lisa Lee has done with one of the new RubberMoon stamp designs?

It was a fun weekend at Art 'n Soul. Between learning how to use the Inktense watercolor pencils and the Rosie's Roadshow card class, it's amazing if anyone gets anything done this week . . . everyone is going to want to create, create, create!

As you look at these terrific starts from the Inktense 101 Watercolor Class,  please remember all of these are works in progress and/or first attempts and practice. We were all learning new techniques, how to work with different applicators, using different amounts of water as well as water applicators, i.e., misters, adding water before and/or after the pencil color.

As you can see, I didn't get very far in class like the others!

Those are all of the photos I have for now. Hopefully we'll be able to post pics from the Inktense afternoon class and the Rosie's Roadshow class on Sunday.

Very important reminder . . . Play Day this month is coming up on Saturday, February 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Marj will lead the play time focused on stencils and templates. She is a master at using them and will share many, many tips and special techniques. It's like getting a class for free! Bring your favorite stencil and template designs, as well as other art supplies to use with them. See the Art 'n Soul Class Schedule for more information.

And a gentle reminder . . . can you believe we're inching towards the end of the month? That means Recycled Rubber is getting close. Between now and next Wednesday, it's a good time to clean out those stamps and other art supplies that still have life but take up too much room in your craft area.

Today was a great day . . . first day I didn't wake up with vertigo since Sunday. I think it was all of the loud bidding at a dinner auction I attended Saturday night with my husband . . . it was his car club's annual fundraising event.
