PLEASE NOTE:  Art 'n Soul's Sunday hours will be 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. That extra half hour will allow staff, who work that day, to enjoy their church service before getting to the store. All other hours remain the same. Thank you!

2015 NORTHWEST PAPER CHASE -- "Games"
Art 'n Soul is very happy to announce we're participating in this year's Northwest Paper Chase. Our game is "marbles" . . . yes, that old-fashioned game that us 'olders' played on the ground. Passport books that enter you into the Paper Chase are available to order at Art 'n Soul right now . . . please stop in soon! They are only providing enough Passports to fulfill customer pre-orders at each participating store. You may purchase a Passport at Art 'n Soul or go online and purchase directly from Northwest Paper Chase -- just indicate Art 'n Soul is your 'home store' and the Passport will be delivered there for pickup.

There is a just-delivered supply of Pan Pastels, including those beautiful metallic colors. Better hurry in for best selection! And Sunday is the day when Rosie's Roadshow will be at Art 'n Soul; we've ordered lots of stamps and you'll want to stop in if you're not taking Linda's class that day.

Kittie makes the most adorable cards using stamps and dies from Impression Obsession. Here's an adorable card for Easter -- I hope you've noticed Easter is very early this year.

Kittie also made a gorgeous floral cut-out card from a new Impression Obsession die. I really like this technique!

Oh my gosh! Look at this beautiful card Bianca made for Magenta . . . I love how she's put all of the beautiful background colors together using stamps and templates from Magenta. It all showcases the bird beautifully!

Bianca has made a lovely card using dies from Memory Box, making an Ikebana (Japanese word for floral arrangement).

It's been another long day. It started with an appointment to renew our one-year passports in downtown Seattle. Since we didn't lose this one, we are now back to a 10-year book. Whew! For passport photos, they do not want you wearing anything around your neck and you cannot smile. I had two photos taken yesterday after the two shots in my head (you read this correctly); the one they issued made me look drugged and propped up. Later in the day, I stopped and had another photo taken at another location; not great but certainly acceptable. The agent wrote 'refused' on the photo so I could take it back for a refund. It wasn't an issue of vanity; it was an issue of pride.

can you tell bath time is not fun?
