The weekend classes at Art 'n Soul were loaded with new techniques, ideas and fun. Our misfortune was a few of the students left before we could photograph their art.

The fun in John Petersen's Bezel Book Class on Saturday was crystal clear! Students made the front and back book covers with a rectangular bezel and Ice Resin before adding the accordion-type pages.

Tamara's Sunday Class brought out new artistic skills. Step-by-step, everyone learned to draw in a way that was simple to learn and may be applied to other subjects.

Looking at these examples, you would never know that only one of the students had previous experience in drawing. Kudo's to all of them!

Here is my completed project from the other day . . .

by Debbie Gaetz
Micron Pen .03 and .01 in black
Copic Markers
Glaze Pens

These are some of the pages from my Zentangle notebook that I re-opened. I surprised myself because I didn't remember doing these. I've decided I am going to 'dust up' some of the pages, and add new pages.

By the way, more 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper from Strathmore will be at the store by this weekend. And more Distressed Watercolor Paks from Ranger are on order and should be shipping today or tomorrow.

That's all for today, my last entire day in The Valley of the Sun!
