We had a marvelous JudiKins' Day at Art 'n Soul on Monday. Between the 3 classes that Judi taught and the Trunk Show, it was quite a day. We loved every moment of it; however, our bodies were feeling 'it' after we packed up the Trunk Show and loaded everything back into the truck that night.

I took several pics but due to the exhaustive state I was in, I'm not sure I am going to correctly recall who did what. If the name under the photo isn't correct, would you please either make a comment at the end of this blog posting or call the store at 360.357.6820 to let me know what needs correction -- I'm sorry, that's the best I can come up with right now!

JudiKins' Mica Gloss™ inks are so beautiful and wonderful to work with. And I like the fact that everything is a 'surprise' when you use the 'smoosh' method followed by stamping and brayering off of the same 'smoosh'!

These are the 2 cards after you've 'smooched' them together
with drops of the Mica Gloss inks. It really helps that you use
the hi-grade coated paper from KromeKote in matte or glossy;
they are now going to be regularly stocked at Art 'n Soul.

Judi's other technique focused on how to use Diamond Glaze™ by JudiKins. Diamond Glaze™ is an adhesive, a clear coating, and can be used in a watercolor technique. After I saw all of this, I had to buy more Diamond Glaze™ because I know I'm now going to use a lot of it

I can't wait to find out more details on the techniques taught in this class; I tried to 'listen in' but I was busy helping Rob with the JudiKins' Trunk Show sale.

Like I said, it was quite a day . . . and a day we hope to repeat next year! We especially want to thank our very loyal customers who shopped at the Stamp Show and still found more to purchase at the store on Monday! It was nice to see so many familiar faces from the Stamp Show at the classes and the trunk sale on Monday.

And we want to thank Phon and Joey next door at the Thai House Restaurant for allowing us to use their table space for the Trunk Show Sale. It's lucky for us that the sale took place on a day the restaurant is normally closed because I don't know where we would have put everything. However, we starved for the delish food at the Thai House. We encourage all of you to stop in at the Thai House to say a special thank you and patronize the restaurant many extra times this month and next as another way to say "thanks".
