My "Sweet Somethings" class is on February 8, and I'd love you to join in. Filler material, including Candy, will be supplied. This is how I'm planning to deliver my 'sweet somethings' to my grandniece and grandnephews in town.
For either class, please call the store at 360.357.6820 or stop in to sign up.
The new pop-it-up dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs by Karen Burniston are fantastic and they are soooo easy. Karen has designed the dies to keep costs down as well. I watched her demo the die at CHA and everyone loved it . . . both of her classes filled up and the demo's were a huge draw to their booth. I love this card from the ECD Facebook posting today . . . click on the first link to go to Helen's blog to see her instructions for making the card, and then click on the second link to see Karen's blog.
"Helen Cryer posted this beautiful Butterfly Pivot Card on her blog. Love how she also used the Butterfly Accessory die to get so many sizes of butterfly.
Check out Karen Burniston, Designer Facebook page for many more ideas with the Pop It Ups collection!"
Here are more pics from the Elizabeth Crafts Designs booth at CHA . . .
Did you see that the Graphic 45 Bird Song papers were used on this card, and the ECD kimono peel-off? |

Els is planning to teach at Art 'n Soul in June, and we're hoping that Karen Burniston will teach at Art 'n Soul later in the year. The specific dates for Els classes need to be confirmed with our Millsrepco Rep, Maggie Crawford, and I'm waiting to hear from her any day now. I also have some items to show and demo when the new Shimmer Sheets arrive, so please stay tuned!
Millsrepco brings us another idea for a 'treat' box using the Envelope Punch Board. Tomorrow I'll share what Marj Marion came up with as an added 'treat' to her class.
New Cute Box from Vesta
\
"Here’s another treat box I learned how to make from Pinterest. Using the We R Memory Keeper’s Envelope Punch Board, cut your paper 4 ½ X 4 ½. Measure ½ inch and punch and score. Match the score line up with the score guide, punch and score on the other 3 sides. Round the corner on one of the long sides. On the other long side, cut about ½ “ off the top. Place your little treats; 3 Dove Chocolates, a twix, etc. into the box. I used a glue dot to hold the flap in place to close the box. Decorate the box and DONE! So easy and fast.
In my boxes, I used Memory Box paper, Memory Box Trellis Border die, Butterfly from Petaloo, and ribbon from Creative Impressions. Thanks to rep Vesta Myers."
From Penny Black, a 'how-to' make this beautiful Valentine card . . .
"We begin today with a beautiful card by Birgit! She’s used our Slapstick/Cling 40-275 Valentine Dance.
Edited to Add: By popular demand, here is Birgit with instructions on making this beautiful card!
1. To create the blue background, I used the negative of a die cut square and shaded it with Distress Inks and an ink blending tool.
2. Next I stamped the butterfly image with blue ink on the square.
3. I stamped one more butterfly image on another paper and cut out the wings.
4. I colored the wings with Distress Inks and placed them with 3D foam over the first stamped image.
5. Finally, I added Glossy Accent to the hearts."
The Memory Box open catalog is still going . . . catch these sample cards made by Dianne and Sue with the new dies!

That's all for today. Lots more to share with you, including Marj's class this morning. I apologize for not being here yesterday; I wasn't up to doing anything so I didn't. Another day of rest and getting nothing done . . . frustrating but needed, I guess.
See you tomorrow, Peggy!
