A new class addition to the schedule at Art 'n Soul!

"Quick & Easy Cards with Heart" $25

Patti has come up with some quick and easy cards for Valentines Day. 
These also can be sent to that special friend or loved one that you care 
and are thinking of them. This card class involves basic card making 
with layering cardstock, using embossing folders, dies and stamping. We 
will be making 5 cards during the class and if time permits, Patti has a 
cute diaper fold to demo that you can fill with treats for your special 
Valentine.

And Marj has scheduled a repeat of her sold-out January 19 class on Monday, January 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The 20th is a state holiday celebrating Martin Luther King's birthday, so this daytime class will be fun to take as a break and start to the work week.

“LOVE AND  FRIENDSHIP” $32

The New Year is off to a fast start, and February is creeping up

quickly!  Whether you send Valentine"s Day cards or just want to make

some special friendship cards, Marj has some fun, artistic cards to

offer in this class. (Nothing too mushy!)  What's not to "love"?...the

class will include die cutting, stamping, Washi tape, clever

compositions, embossing folders,  intriguing folds, and a fun project

with the Envelope Board. (It's a secret project, so you have to take to

class to find out!).. AND, it might involve a little chocolate!!  Bring

your basic kit, your Envelope Board if you have one (not required), and a small trimmer.

Patti has found an awesome way to hold the Christmas cards sent to her family this year . . . we're all thinking that Patti should share this fun project with us at the store, so she's working on it!

We're so pleased to finally announce, and show you the photo of, the winner of Art 'n Soul's 12 Days of Christmas promotion. Robin Taylor was the very much 'surprised' winner. She said she never wins anything and was crying happy tears. Robin, we're so happy for you and that we have added a new friend to Art 'n Soul. There was quite a variety of treasures in the basket, and Robin wants to learn how to use everything! And Robin, we do want to show you! The new year is going to be a fun one for Robin . . . and Art 'n Soul!

The Peace of Wild Things

When despair for the world grows in me

and I wake in the night at the least sound

in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,

I go and lie down where the wood drake

rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.

I come into the peace of wild things

who do not tax their lives with forethought

of grief. I come into the presence of still water.

And I feel above me the day-blind stars
