Art 'n Soul is excited about the
Gelli Arts™ Gelli Plates!

Marj Marion has graciously agreed to lead a mini-demo on the Gelly Plate this Sunday, June 30, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. If you have recently purchased a Gelli Arts™ Gelly Plate, or just want to know what it's all about, you are welcome to attend. We saw the excitement over the beautiful background papers Marj had made to display at the birthday party. Marj thought it would be an opportune time to show you 'how' she made these prints on the Gelly Plate.

You will be able to watch some of the the basics of printing, see examples of different techniques, and ask questions you might have.

More Gelli Arts™ Gelli Plates arrived today, so you may want to call the store
(360.357.6820) and pre-pay to reserve yours if you're unable to make it into the store right away. They're going to go fast and we don't know how soon we'll be ordering more because we must order them in case lots.

Talk about excitement! Here's our Grand Prize Winner from the 10th Birthday Party . . . Peggy Austin! She was so surprised; her son even said he'd never seen her so excited about a phone call, ever!

We're as thrilled for Peggy as she is
with Art 'n Soul! Woot! Woot!

Yesterday, I showed you a beautiful card sample by Kathy Schwartz. Here's another one . . . I really like how she split the stamping of the wording.

Sam Lee really liked the Inka Gold demo at the birthday party. Before she left, Sam enthusiastically told me that she was going to put Inka Gold on her recently finished wood carving. A very impressive idea!

That Inka Gold really looks nice. Thank you, Sam, for sharing another facet of your artistic palate.

Dianne has been converting Mike Turner into a zentangle fanatic . . . so much so that Mike's partner says Mike is in dire need of a zentangle intervention because he cannot stop zentangling. Of course, that's music to Dianne's ears! Mike surprised Dianne with examples of his zentangled artistry at the birthday party so we could share his awesome work with you!

Mike, I love your boots! An intervention would be a dis-service to the zentangling world. As Dianne says, "welcome to the dark side!"

The washi tapes that were supposed to be at the store for the birthday party finally made their way into my hands this morning. The vendor used my home street address with the store's city, state and zip code. UPS is very smart and very good -- but not that good! lol! The order will be at the store tomorrow! Roxanne, I hope you notice the tape with the birds on a wire that you were hoping for!

From Elizabeth Craft Designs' FB posting, I really like this card using Shimmer Sheetz strips similar to how you would use washi tape:

She made a great card using the Shimmer Sheetz!"

From Impression Obsession's blog . . .

Tuesday T&T

"Today I am doing something a little different.

by Shirley Ross for Impression Obsession

STEPS:
  1. Stamped CAC Dotty Circles on Neenah Natural cardstock with Memento Angel Pink.  Used Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles as a stencil to get the background shown above.
  2. Stamped Frilly Forget-Me-Nots (can also be purchased as part clear set Spring Medley) with Brilliance Galaxy Gold, embossed to dry, painted with Twinkling H2O's, glued and applied Baby Pink Flower Soft, applied Stickles glitter glue to the centers.  Trimmed around, applied 3D pop dots and set aside.  (It was so much easier cutting around the flowers with the flower soft for body)
  3. The die cut is from Circle Shaker Die Set.  Went around it with Angel Pink brush marker and mounted on a piece of the background.  Stamped the sentiment from Hydrangea clear set with Memento Bamboo Green and applied 3d pop dots to the back.
  4. Mounted ribbon to back and taped to one end.  Punched slots into sentiment die cut, threaded ribbon though slots, taped to other end, and mounted bouquet.
  5. Applied ribbon bow and stick pin.  Applied al little glitter glue to 3 of the centers of Dotty Circles.
Done and really fun too!
Thanks for stopping by to look and share.  See you again on DT Thursday, June 27."
