Stampington's "Take Ten" arrived today . . .

Here's the new Graphic 45 French Country collection that is at the store . . . it's already proven itself to be irresistible! As with the Bird Song collection, the French Country offers unending possibilities and will give you hours and hours of crafting fun!

The 8x8 pad that offers you the same paper designs as
the 12x12's but in a smaller proportionate size, ideal for
cardmaking and other papercrafts.
The 6x6 pad that provides you with all of
the background patterns from the entire collection.
This size is a trial by Graphic 45 based on
customer feedback and requests.

Theme Challenge - Tomato Vine

by Beate Johns, AIR for Imagine Crafts
"I created this card for Imagine Crafts.  We were to create a card with a theme, picking one of the new Kaleidacolor pad names as the theme. I knew I wanted to use Flourishes Italian Garden tomato image for my card.
Here are stamp by step instructions:
Stamp image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Color image with Copic Markers (YR09, R24, R29, R39, YG61, YG63, YG67, E31, E33, E35) and cut out.
Brayer Pistachio Memento Ink over the inside of the Flora M-Bossabilities folder and emboss a 2 1/2″ x 4 3/8″ piece of white cardstock.
Cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the 3rd largest Standard Circle Nestabilities die and sponge the edges of the circle with Summer Sky Memento Ink.
Adhere image over the circle with dimensional adhesive. Stitch embossed background to a slightly bigger piece of black cardstock. Tie ribbon around the lower edge of the embossed layer and tape circle to the lower right of that layer.
Stamp sentiment on lower left of the card base (3 1/2″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half) with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Finish off the card with black rhinestones.
Thanks so much for coming by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs and smiles"

Speaking of Imagine Crafts, have you signed up for John Petersen's class this Saturday at Art 'n Soul? There are still a couple of spots left. These are new techniques using products from Imagine Crafts and Tsukineko, i.e., a technique using a new Spellbinder embossing folder that was released at CHA, along with a new technique using shaving cream (yes, you read it correctly!), and more. Some of these were used at CHA for the retailers night and it was the most popular event of the night! After John's class in Boston during the big snowstorm of 2013, this will be only the second offering of these new techniques by Imagine Crafts.

Here's the fourth card for my Iris Folding Class on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Art 'n Soul. Hope you'll join us!

by Debbie Gaetz for Iris Folding Class on Feb. 24

There is a new zentangle class that will be scheduled in March. Deb Kuttel is putting the finishing touches on her class description and we'll hopefully have it for you in the next day or so. So, please watch for the date announcement and class description.

For any of the classes, please stop in at Art 'n Soul to sign up for the classes or call the store at 360.357.6820.

"Rainbow Eucalyptus trees on Maui, Hawaii The phenomenon is caused by patches of bark peeling off at various times and the colors are indicators of age. A newly shed outer bark reveals bright greens which darken over time into blues and purples and then orange and red tones."
