The stamping group that I belong to, Olympia Paper Dolls, is taking on a card-making venture. We're going to make cards and tags for infusion patients at the local Oncology Center; they'll be generic for the nursing staff to distribute. We're very excited about doing something to make their day a little brighter and cheerier.

The card top is a purple prismatic card stock that has been sprayed with IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko's Fireworks! in Dandelion, Canteloupe and Pear Tart. The background stamp is from Impression Obsession (Cover-a-Card Swirls - CC002), stamped with Radiant Neon in Electric Yellow. The base card is a metallic card stock (Stardream in Zeus Gold) that has been embossed.

The cut papers are 118# Conqueror in Diamond White and colored with the Radiant Neon inks in Electric Yellow, Electric Orange and Electric Green. I used the Memory Box Paper Cut Tulips Circle Die (98828), which was cut before the dauber was used to color the tulips and stems. A Candi was used in the middle of the circle. Yellow pearls from Memory Box were attached to each tulip center. The word stamp is from Wordsworth (Well Done You S2120H) stamped with Versafine in Onyx Black. A piece of washi tape was attached to the left side; the pennant cut was done by hand (snip the center to the length of the tail you want; then cut from the left and right bottom to the  inside end of the center cut).

I used the mini Glue Dots® adhesive roll for the tulip flower, center of the die cut circle and the left side of the pennant tag. The roll really worked nifty. The card corners were from my "go-to" paper punch, Heritage Corner, from EK Success.



This is an awesome project from the Graphic 45 blog that could easily be used with most any of their paper collections.

Graphic 45 let me know today that the Botanical Tea collection will be delivered on Tuesday. Since I never know if the delivery will be here in the morning or between 6 and 7 that night, I don't know which day I'll have it at the store. Stay tuned! They did say they didn't expect the overwhelming reception for Botanical Tea and are now on their second printing!

A real sense of accomplishment:  finding all of the pieces to submit to the State Department's Passport office in downtown Seattle this morning, followed by a delicious pasta lunch at Bahama Breeze in Tukwila, and a drive home in the beautiful sunshine.
