The Seven Gypsies tissue paper paks that I ordered went out the door almost as fast as they came in. Of course, it's now out-of-stock but I will be ordering more just as soon as they become available again.
Elaine Woodhouse has another class planned on Sunday, April 17. Here's the project:
METAL EMBOSSED ALTERED ART PRINT - $35 - Sunday, April 17, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
This is the third in my series of altered art prints and is entitled Madame Gaudibert by Monet,1868. This impressionist painting lends itself perfectly to Elaine's technique of replacing sections of paintings with embossed metals, and embellishing chosen elements with mixed media. For those of you who have taken previous classes, this is a long-awaited addition to your collection. For those unfamiliar with the technique, you will learn the altering technique, the art of embossing on copper, and how to choose appropriate prints and materials.
Please bring your favorite detail scissors, and background stamps (optional).
Recycled Rubber is this Saturday and Sunday . . . lots of new stuff that you'll just have to add to your stash! The fun begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday; and 12:00 noon on Sunday.
Next week, both Sue and Alissa are teaching classes at the store . . . Wednesday afternoon and evening, Sue teaches her "Spring has Sprung" class . . . and then Saturday afternoon, Alissa teachers her "Glitter Ritz Glitz" class. If you haven't signed up yet, don't wait!
I almost feel it's an April Fools to tell me it's actually April 1 tomorrow! Sometimes, I feel like Rip Van Winkle; in this case, however, I haven't slept my way through a period of time. Rather, I seem to have 'whizzed' my way through a time warp from the first of January to April 1 with nary a blink of the eye! and wonder what happened to the time that has passed right under my feet. Anyone else on that bus?
