After the highly-rated Rosie's Roadshow class on Saturday, there are a few stamps left for you to add to your collection of these wonderful stamps. And if you don't find what you want, you might want to submit a "pink sheet" order right away. These are just a few of the cards we made that are to be considered "works-in-progress". We just didn't have time to stamp, position, stamp and color the images in the allotted class time, let alone put the card together!
You're going to love the Halloween witch stamps!

I was so busy talking to myself as I was stamping the cards that I didn't get everything done, so I'll post mine in another day or so. I promise!
There was a slight oversight on my part. Rosie's Roadshow now offers pre-printed card stock with the cartoon squares, rectangles, etc. Linda is going to send me the information and I will be ordering those for the store. Yippee! They are very reasonably priced too!
Some of you may not realize the large ribbon rack at the store was built by Catherine's husband long ago. She was very kind and generous to allow me to use it all of this time since buying the paper and ribbon business from her. It's time for it to go to its real home, so the rack has been cleaned off and those ribbons are now on one of the class tables. To help with the cleaning effort . . .
An ALL RIBBON DISCOUNT Sale at Art 'n Soul at 30% off!
Please, don't be shy! Some folks do a "spring cleaning" . . . I do a "summer cleaning"! Must be the unrelenting heat that's getting to me.
Graphic 45's RARE ODDITIES' paper collection is now at Art 'n Soul. I really like the artwork and designs because there is so much you can do with them, even if you're not doing a Halloween themed project.
You may think it's too early for Halloween! It's almost the middle of August and folks are already beginning their Christmas cards. At Art 'n Soul, we want to celebrate Halloween before our Christmas Party in October!
You must see this gorgeous card made by Pam; it's on the front counter at the store.

I "spy" some watercolor paper behind the die-cut panel that has been colored with Magenta's Nuance powdered watercolor dye. I thought I spied So Silk card stock in Shocking Green that has been embossed, as well as So Silk in Fashion Purple that serves as a mat to the top panel; and a few sequins added for a finishing touch. The green is actually card stock that has been colored with a Distress Ink and Perfect Pearls added to give the sheen.
On the Memory Box blog, Laura Fulcher has been busy. This first posting shows a very clean and simple card featuring their new Poinsettia Border die and the Merry word die.

Anne created 3 wonderful holiday cards using the new Memory Box Snow Globe dies. She didn't make 'shaker' cards out of them but you could easily do that.

On the PoppyStamps' blog, Sue has created a very beautiful tag using a new corner die from PoppyStamps and the new Main Street tag die.

I think you'd really like the nesting tag sizes in this fabulous new die set! And I'm pretty darn sure you'd love that new corner die.
Oh my! Remember those Wink of Stella pens we've all purchased at Art 'n Soul? Well, they're made by the same company that brings us the Clean Color Markers. They're all owned by Kuretake Zig. So what do I see on their Facebook page?
From Kuretake Facebook Page Wink of Stella "splash" outlined with Mankaga fine liner pen |
The Mankaga is a water-based pigment ink that doesn't smudge when used with watercolors or alcohol inks. They say it's perfect for outlining.
Time to finish up. Tomorrow we take our little Hannah to a special veterinary clinic for a referral consultation and then a liver biopsy by a radiologist. Her recent liver tests show elevated readings that have risen dramatically since the last test, and yet she doesn't act like anything is amiss.

Hi Debbie, thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog today. The butterflies you asked about are in fact ribbon. Chris :-)
