A limited number of new stencils from Ranger are awaiting new homes . . . you can find the 'homeless' stencils at Art 'n Soul. They're perfect for card backgrounds, mixed media projects, scrap page backgrounds, art journals, tags, and just about anything you'd like to add these beautiful designs to.

Before I forget, I must share with you one of the May Inspiration Station cards made by Susie. It has a "Seahawks" theme to it.

by Susie Tracy

Canvas board painted very randomly with Gesso and Green
Dylusions' Paint. Allow to dry. Paint the Tim Holtz Crazy
Bird Stamps with Blue Dylusions' Paint; then stamp.
Clean stamps quickly. Print the sentiment with your
computer and use any tag die; this die is a Spellbinder
tag die that is attached with ribbon.

From Sunday's Magenta Class, "Color Me Dark" (watercolor on black paper), everyone enjoyed expanding on the techniques they learned on Saturday and applying them to black paper. We stamped images with black VersaFine ink onto the black paper; in some instances, clear embossing powder was used and heat set . . . but not always. Bleach was used to "color" either the image and/or the background. ArtQuest metallic watercolor palettes were used, as well as Magenta's new Nuance powdered watercolor and colored pencils.

These are the 'works in progress' from the students . . .

These are the sample cards that Helene prepared to inspire us before the stamping and painting began. They are a little dark because I was photographing them through the clear cellophane holder.

Here's a new shaker card idea from Poppy Stamps. Jeanne also uses a new heat tool that easily makes the shaker window with a photo sleeve.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is going to be one of the biggest Recycled Rubber Sale Days ever! There is so much collected that we are literally leaping over boxes, walking around boxes, and tucking them anywhere we can in the back. I think you'll be amazed at the treasures and true-finds that will be discovered . . . better be there when the doors open at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning!
