Art 'n Soul's Inspiration Station this month features the Stamp Set "Bird Crazy" from Stamper's Anonymous' Tim Holtz Collection.

"Bird Crazy" Tim Holtz Collection

We have these sets available . . . hurry in to make sure there is still a set to purchase.

Today's Inspiration Station card is by Carolyn. I totally relate to the sentiment on the stamp, and the sentiment is so well illustrated with this Bird Crazy stamp!

Marj has just announced a new class that she will be teaching at Art 'n Soul on Sunday, July 26. This is a 'preview' sample card because the sample board won't be up until after June 1; it's enough for me -- I'm sold and signed up! If you want to be a part of this class, please don't delay signing up because I have a feeling this class will fill up before the completed sample board is up!

COOL DIMENSIONAL PAPER-SHAPED CARDS! -- Marj
$32

Be sure to save the date for this brand new class with very cool and special techniques! Marj will share her creative touch in this fun and unique class. We will use special paper shaping tools to raise parts of some great stamp images, and explore different types of papers, markers and painting methods to make these exquisite cards. The photo doesn't do justice to the card, or show how this technique brings a 3-D appearance to the cards, but the class samples will be up the first week of June. You can register at any time to save your space. Bring your Basic Kit, small trimmer, metal stylus and check the supply list when you register. Try not to miss this special class! You will make three wonderful cards in class, and receive two kits to take home to make more.

Memory Box has put together a new "Look Book" featuring watercolor designs coupled with stamps and dies by Kay Miller. All of us at Art 'n Soul are totally impressed with Kay's card designs . . . they're very clean, simple and beautifil!

Look at these beautiful cards by Heather Telford. She has put together a video tutorial about watercoloring with the Distress Stains. After looking at these card designs, I know you'll want to check out the video. Of course, Heather is featuring stamp designs from Penny Black.

Using the same watercolor technique of Heather's, Dina Kowal applied it to a card she made featuring a new stamp design from Impression Obsession.

From Inchie Arts, Lisa Lee shows us how artist Angela Kennedy incorporates using the base color of an ATC Artist Square (wheat) for her portrait project. I think that's very clever because so many of us struggle with the right color combination(s) to duplicate the skin color(s).

Lisa points out that the Artist Trading Card (ATC) Art Squares come in 7 colors:  white, ivory, dark cream, wheat, light gray, dark gray and black. Art 'n Soul carries the Inchie Arts' Art Squares.

The weather forecast has changed from sunny to cloudy, warm and chance of thunderstorms, following by cloudy and rainy. Hmmm, sounds like a good time to escape to the colorful world at Art 'n Soul . . . the colors of spring and summer are certainly more inspiring and happy than the gray skies coming in.
