Told 'ya I'd be back!

In just under 12 hours from now, the Northwest Paper Chase 2015 is "on" at Art 'n Soul. All of us are looking forward to welcoming the Paper Chasers to Art 'n Soul through the 29th of this month. At least tomorrow, this Friday the 13th is a lucky day!

This is Art 'n Soul's 'take 'n make' for the Northwest Paper Chase this year; the theme is "Games" and we chose the game of marbles. In the 'take 'n make' kit, each Paper Chaser who spends $10 (pre-tax, post discounts) will receive this kit to take home . . . 5 puzzle pieces to a Marble Puzzle, a real glass marble, and the 6x6 paper from Authentique (one of the 2015 NWPC sponsors). As marbles roll, we hope they'll "roll" their script around the page to describe their experience at Art 'n Soul; there's even room for a photo above the stamped sentiment and they can place the marble puzzle pieces anywhere they want.

Special Alert:  If any Paper Chaser finds that any 3 of their puzzle pieces actually properly fit together, they should bring them back to the store for an Authentique 6x6 paper pad.

Tomorrow, I'll post a pic of the charm collectible that Paper Chasers can earn in addition to the take 'n make kit with a $20 purchase (pre-tax, post discounts).

Tomorrow (Friday), Art 'n Soul's Journal Club meets at the store between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. It sure would be nice if someone took some pics and sent them to me so I could share them on the blog. The experience is totally art-filled with lots of fun, friendship and sharing . . . all for free! Any one and every one is welcome to join in!

Marj has just set another class date at Art 'n Soul. Save Sunday, April 19 on your calendar; please stop in or call the store to save a seat now because the class will fill quickly. A photo will be posted soon of a card sample.

So here I am, cruising through Dina Wakley's blog and I came upon this post. As I looked at the brush strokes I wildly thought that perhaps I could 'imitate' her brush strokes and come up with a face like Dina has . . . could that ever happen outside of my imagination? You'll have to wait and see if it happens to me. BUT, you can go to her blog posting and see what you might do!

That's all I have for tonight. I know that Dianne would want me to remind you that Saturday is "pi" day -- 3/14 and to eat "pie". (Please excuse me for not having the actual 'pi' symbol to post -- I don't know where it is on my keyboard or computer!)
