Since this last weekend, Pan Pastels have been extremely popular because of Marj's jam-packed classes. We're putting the orders in very soon, so if you want to add to your collection of colors . . . or start a collection of colors, purchase tools, call (360.357.6820) or stop into Art 'n Soul as soon as possible to place your order.

For added inspiration, here's a message from Marj:

by Marj Marion
"This shows the dreamy colors of the new Pearlescent Pan Pastels.
Sorry about the shadows!  Pan Pastels applied with a Sofft sponge."

by Marj Marion
"Here you can see the entire Pearlescent set … beautiful light colors,
plus fine and coarse pearlized black and white pearl mediums.
You can add a pearlized look to any of your regular Pan Pastels.
Call Art 'n Soul this week to order this wonderful set, or any of the
tools and sponges that work so well for application."

by Marj Marion
"(I) like to make a whole sheet of beautiful Pan Pastel colors,
and then cut it into four or more panels to make multiple cards.
This page used some of the reds, oranges, and pink regular
Pan Pastels, applied with a sponge. You can also both large
and small finger daubers to apply the pastels."

by Marj Marion
"(I) used the black Pearlescent to create the lower portion, Sofft knives and sponge covers to color in the beautiful I.O. poppy flowers, as well as the background shading. See how easily and quickly (I) made a coordinating envelope, shading with the same colors of Pastels."

With a shout-out of "Thank You!" to Pam, these are photos from the classes taken by her.

Dianne, Pam and Carolyn all signed up for Marj's class and will be more than happy to "demo" or help you along with techniques using Pan Pastels at Art 'n Soul.

Now that you've been doubly-inspired, be sure to put your order in now for Pan Pastels! In addition, the stamps Marj used are from Impression Obsession which has been on 'open catalog' status and will be closing any day . . . their new release catalog of stamp designs and dies are at the store. I just wrote my order up on Sunday and it was quite difficult to stop adding to the list because there are so many wonderful treasures to order!

Dianne is at the store all day today to assist you with your orders!

Speaking of Impression Obsession, Kittie Caracciolo has made an adorable card using some of the new dies.

It's Valentine's Day on the Magenta blog today. Helene has created several cards using stamps from the new release. It's not too late to include your order in this week's order to Magenta but you'll need to be quick!

A 3-D fish? I'm thinking about taking out one of my Fred Mullett fish stamps and trying something similar . . . but without the mounted fish on the wall background look.

That's all for this day. Until then, I wanted to share these three video clips from The Today Show sneak-peeking Super Bowl ads. The first one is the "Go-Daddy" ad that has since been pulled due to the overwhelming emotional response of NO!

Click on this link and then scroll down to the "video link" photo that says "Puppy Love" Super Bowl ad. This shows the background of making the Budweiser ad and then the actual ad follows. Heartwarming at its best, always from Budweiser!

And this is another sneak preview from The Today Show for another heartwarming 'at its best' Budweiser Super Bowl ad.
