Sunday, Sept. 28, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., “KUMOMI™ – A NEW CREATIVE TECHNIQUE”
Lisa Lee of Inchie Arts $28
Kumomi™ is a creative process combining randomness of spontaneous painting with the control of meditative drawing created by Karen Elaine Parsons of Splash Inks. The entire point of learning this technique is to experience mind and body relaxation through the action of being creative. Create a series of tiles using 4” Art Squares, Splash Inks and black pen as you find meaning in the randomness of your brush strokes.
These are samplings of what was started and in progress on 4-inch Art Squares from Inchie Arts . . .
by Lynn Ritzdorf from Sweet Grass, Montana |
by Trish Rasske from Everett, Washington This was before Trish recognized a fish and a cat hidden, waiting to be revealed. |
This was after Trish found the fish and cat . . . makes you wonder what else might be lurking waiting to be discovered! |
by Lisa Lee, Inchie Arts This is Lisa after she's applied the colors . . . |
by Lisa Lee, Inchie Arts This is what awaits discovery. |
Open your mind. If you like the random application of color and the zen of doodling, this is the class for you. Kumomi™ doesn't take previous experience . . . it takes being open to the moment and going with the flow! Just don't over-think it. Lisa will lead you through the Kumomi™ process -- her creativity really shines in this. And you need bring only yourself . . . no class kit is required.
