This is Jolande's first card that she posted on the Magenta blog as a new member of their Design Team. I really like it!

I love this card by Linda Lucas, aka Lovely Linda! She hails from Australia and creates amazing cards. With this card, Linda is featuring the new Radiant Neon inks from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko.

Terry Medaris continued to captivate his art students at Art 'n Soul this morning and afternoon. His style of coloring with Prismacolor colored pencils is amazing. Terry loves color and he was almost speechless when a student in the beginner's class this morning went through the 'shading and light' exercise with black and gray colors.

Terry has such a way with colors and design, and it was a wonderful experience to learn some of his techniques. The brilliance of his colors and shading with the colors makes colored pencil art work really stand out.

The tiles that we stamped and colored on are special tiles not available at the retail level. Terry told us who to contact for a supply and Dianne was able to make that connection; the tiles should be at the store on Monday or Tuesday and will sell for $2 each, plus tax. Many of the students reserved tiles immediately after the class. You are welcome to call the store or drop by to reserve yours . . . 360.357.6820.

  • Terry reminded us that if the tile isn't totally smooth, sand it a little with 150-grit sandpaper. Make sure to wipe it clean with a slightly wet cloth, and make sure the tile is completely dry before stamping. Use StazOn solvent ink to stamp your image.
  • If you're working with the domino tile, you will want to sand the coating on the top, sides, and all edges, including the bottom edge. Otherwise, the ink may smear and not adhere, and the pencil colors will not adhere. When sanding, use the 150-grit sandpaper.
  • When working with the shrink plastic, always stamp and color on the non-smooth side. The colors will become much more vivid when the heat plastic shrinks. Use StazOn solvent ink when stamping. Shrink plastic comes in white, black, cream, clear and frosted.

Thank you, Terry, for a terrific artsy weekend at Art 'n Soul. We certainly expect you to return to Art 'n Soul and not wait 4 years again!

Mary Prasad, a member of the Elizabeth Craft Designs' Design Team, made this beautiful card in a black and white theme.
