Are you ready for a review of a fantabulous day? It was a rather bleak, windy, rainy day -- perfect conditions for creating art at Art 'n Soul instead of being outside in the foul weather conditions.

And everyone taking Susie's class yesterday afternoon did just that -- create art!

Susie combined small canvas square boards, the mini bags from Webster's Pages, colored pencils, Stickles, washi tape and stamps from Rubbermoon to create the basis for mini pieces of art that are perfect for gifts, ornaments, home and/or office decor. Susie thinks that the lightweight papers used for the mini bags is perfect for this project; there will be Christmas mini bags from Webster's Pages as well at Art 'n Soul.

These were the sample pieces by Susie to inspire the creative process in class.

I show the 'sides' so you can see that the
artistry continued with a mixture of
paper, artwork and/or washi tape.

These little canvas boards and easels will be available at Art 'n Soul very soon; they were supposed to be shipped in time for the class and it just didn't happen. As soon as they're here, we'll let you know! If you want to pre-order any of the expected delivery, call the store at 360.357.6820 or come into the store and let us know.

See how cute they sit on the mini-easel?
These are the 'works-in-progress' at the end of the class time. We were all talking about how fun, easy and addicting these could be in making again and again and again and again, et al. Several of us were anxious to return home and complete these little gems.

Gail and Sharon left before I started taking pics; I'm hoping they'll send me pics of their 'works-in-progress' so we might share their little beauties, too!

Jennifer Busselle-Dunn, our newest member of the team at Art 'n Soul, made these sample cards for your inspiration.

Rubbermoon is open catalog through Tuesday. You're invited to come to the store and browse through their catalog of amusing, quirky, and artsy unique stamp designs. You will notice that this particular stamp was used as a banner (by drawing a fine line to join them), as trees, and I've since seen the stamp used as party hats! How versatile can you get? Therefore, be sure to really look at your stamps and all of the potential design uses . . . remember those Magenta stamps we used to make floral petals and fish?

Look what my hands just landed on! I'll have more about it tomorrow!

Patti has been putting together her annual Christmas album. This year's album uses papers from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad and a 12x12 sheet from their Vintage Christmas collection. Don't you love it?

I believe I've talked enough . . . see you tomorrow!

Don't you love talking turkey?
