It's Christmas Time with Memory Box Soon at Art 'n Soul

Such great news to share with you!

Art n' Soul's Dianne Johnson has accepted Helene's invitation to be a member of Magenta's Design Team.
All of us at Art 'n Soul couldn't be more proud of Dianne, and we know that her beautiful card art has earned her a well-deserved spot on the Magenta Design Team.

We're also excited to announce that both Dianne and Alissa from Art 'n Soul have started their own blogs. You must include them in your daily 'blog' rounds. I'll start today with Dianne's blog, "Back Porch." You may view Dianne's blog at either of these website addresses:  http://backporchatolympia.blogspot.ca or http://lestylemagenta.blogspot.com/. You're gonna love what you see!

From the Memory Box blog, more great ideas for holiday cards . . .

This is one of four cards I will be teaching in my Christmas in July Class on July 14th, at the Inspiration Station.  http://www.the-inspiration-station.com/. Please join me if you are in the area.
Don't forget to leave a comment here for a chance to win a prize!  Winners will be announced at the end of the blog blitz (July 14th).
Good Luck and Enjoy!!!!"
Donna
We're waiting for the  Memory Box Christmas Stamps and Dies for 2013 to be delivered to Art 'n Soul. Please come on over and look through the new catalog offerings and put your 'wish' list together and make a 'pink sheet' order because we're taking orders right now! There is a lot to see, so be prepared!

From the Impression Obsession website, I loved this beautiful card by Shirley Ross with IO. Please be sure to read the very last paragraph of her posting; it has the best new technique hint I've seen in a while.

Tuesday T&T Lacealicious

by Shirley Ross for Impression Obsession
"I have no idea if 'lacealicious' is even a word, but it says a lot about how I like the lace stamps in the new supplement.  This is another one of a group of cards I am working on.
Image:
  1. Stamped Beauty Roses with Delicata Gold Glitz on white cardstock twice, used heat gun to dry.
  2. Painted with Twinkling H2O's, cut out, flipped over and embossed with a stylus on an embossing mat.  Cut out the center of the top second rose and mounted with 3D pop-dots on the forefront rose.
Die Cut Background:
  1. Used Spellbinders Ribbon Threader die and Neenah Natural cardstock for the cut and embossed too.
  2. Placed die over the die cut and stamped Crochet Border 1 with Brilliance Pearlescent Biege, used heat gun to dry the ink.
  3. Threaded green grosgrain ribbon through the ribbon slots.
  4. Added pearl stickers and set aside.
Background Cardfront:
  1. Inked Cover-A-Card Crumpled Lace with Pearlescent Beige and stamped on white cardstock.
  2. Cut to 4.25"X5.5".
Assembly:
  1. Mounted the image to the die cut, stamped Thinking of You with Memento Cottage Ivy in the lower right hand corner, and mounted to the Crumpled Lace background with 3D pop dots.
  2. Added pearl stickers with Glossy Accents so they wouldn't come loose.
  3. Added bow to flower.
*** - Did you know that if you use Glossy Accents and it smudges, when it is dry you can erase it with a clic non-abrasive eraser pen with no damage to the cardstock or paper.  That's one of the reasons I use it like glue for a lot of things when using cardstock or paper."
I looked online and it appears the Clic non-abrasive eraser pen is made by Pentel and you should be able to find it at any of the office supply stores. It says it is very gentle on paper and leaves fewer pieces of eraser dust. When I return home, I'm going to look for one.

From Graphic 45, a new monthly challenge has been issued. Since we have the new Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar paper collection at Art 'n Soul, I thought you might want to look at entering a challenge of your own to Graphic 45!
With all of those beautiful colors and designs in the Bohemian Bazaar collection, you may discover an inspiration that is truly your style that others might want to know about.

It's very sunny and warm here in Ravenna, Italy. The family meal gatherings are always fun and very interactive on the veranda. And our days are filled with attention to our granddaughter who is now 20 months old, as well as our granddaughter-to-be. Cecilia offers her 'baby sister' kisses and hugs quite often.

I'll be back tomorrow . . . ciao!
