Today is a fun day because Imagine Crafts®/Tsukineko® & Avery Elle have paired up for a blog hop! There are going to be a lot of amazing projects on the hop today showing how well Avery Elle and IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® products work together. We also have a fun giveaway, so be sure to visit all of the blogs participating.

I'm thrilled to join my fellow Artists-in-Residence for IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® as we join up with the Design Team for Avery Elle's Blog Hop. It was fun to discover Avery Elle’s Birch Wood Grain Card Stock, along with Avery Elle’s photopolymer clear stamp set, Petals & Stems.

I embossed an 80 lb. Solar White Classic Crest cover card stock with Cuttlebug’s Anna Griffin® Poppy 5”x7” embossing folder and cut it down to 4”x6”. I used the Spectrum Noir Cool Greys alcohol pen set on the embossed card stock, lightest color on top and darkest color on the bottom. I then lightly rubbed the embossed card stock with the IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dew Drop Dye Ink in Pear Tart. It was then adhered to the blank base card from Strathmore.

Using the Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pen in the lightest of the Cool Greys set, I colored a swatch of the white Avery Elle Wood Grain Card Stock to bring out the grain texture. Using the large and smaller matching blossom images from the Avery Elle Petals & Stems stamp set, I inked those with IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Dye Ink in Lady Bug and Love Letter, and embossed with IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Embossing Powder in Clear on the die-cut card stock. I then took 2 pens from the Spectrum Noir alcohol Pinks pen set and colored over the stamped images, blending the colors to avoid a defined line where the colors change. I also used a Sakura® Glaze Pen in black for the centers of the flowers.

The embossed card stock was cut using the Spellbinders® Nestabilities™ Labels Twenty Six die set.

Using a ribbon remnant from May Arts, I attached the ribbon to the base card about 1/3 down from the top and taped the ends on the back side. Using the darkest gray alcohol marker from Spectrum Noir, I edged the die cut. I wanted gray pearls; I only had yellow pearls in my stash. I used the gray alcohol marker and colored the yellow pearls.

I used foam mounting tape to adhere the die cut to the card base. I tied a small ribbon bow to place on the upper left corner of the die cut label. Using corner and flourish peel-offs from Magenta in pink, I finished off the card.
