SEI sent new Christmas papers . . . wish we'd had these earlier because they're beautiful. Perhaps you . . . still have some remaining cards to make (or all of them, like me!); want to start on next year's cards; think these papers would make beautiful gift tags; or, there's some last-minute decor items you can make with any combination of these papers with stamps, dies and other embellishments for your home, office or as a gift. A great way to rack up some double marks on your Art 'n Soul Loyalty Card.

These is the 6x6 paper pad, containing extra papers not available in 12x12 These are some of those papers . . . |
And you could also rack up some double marks by purchasing the new Riley stamps that arrived from Notions yesterday. They are quite amusing and hilarious, and I'm going to make a small set of note cards for Christmas gifts using these stamps. I do appreciate that not everyone will have the same warped mind for humor that I do, but I'm sure everyone will see at least one stamp that they like and can easily relate to. A few more stamps were back-ordered so when they arrive, I'll be sure to share those with you as well.
Marge Chandler was finishing up her Christmas cards today and I wanted to share 3 of her cards with you . . . most of the stamps and/or dies are from Memory Box.

"Handmade Gifts are this weeks theme and one I personally love. There is nothing that touches the heart more than a gift that is created from the heart - it reflects long lasting memories to express the the language of love, celebration, comfort and encouragement.
This week we are sharing ideas with you that we hope will inspire you in a way that enhances the very “nature of giving”
Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Supplies:
Start by stamping three (3) of the Penny Black® Inc. Holiday Delight stamp onto white card and cut out each one using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine and the Grand Circles Nestabilities®. Using the Die as a Stencil, sponge around the inside edges using the Clearsnap - Stylus - Cat's Eye Adapter and linen ink.
Remove the Die Cut images from the Nestabilities. I have precoloured the images.
Cut out three (3) Decorative Grand Circles Nestabilities® in red card.
Cut out three (3) of the Standard Circles SM Nestabilities® in gold card and three (3) of theStandard Circles LG Nestabilities® in red card. * Use size 5 from each Die. Add a layer of wax paper between the card and the Die, wax side up to make it easier to remove the card from the Die - this especially helps remove the filigree Dies without tearing. Layer the gold circle on to the larger red one using SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ - Thin 3D Foam Squares
*NOTE: Spellbinders are numbered from the smallest to the largest - one being the smallest.
Next cut the letters from the Jewel Alphabet Shapeabilities® J,O and Y in white card and use the Dies as a Stencil, sponging with Linen and Walnut to age the letters. Remove from the Die. Adhere each letter onto one medallion using Beacon Adhesives - Zip Dry Paper Glue.
Add a double row of Scor-Pal® - 1/2" Tape down the center of the back of each circle, attach one end of the Satin Ribbon to the top of the first circle (with the letter 'J' on it). Allow enough ribbon to form a loop at the top and then continue to adhere the ribbon along all of the circles as shown in the photos below.
Adhere wide foam tape on the back of circle, a piece either side of the ribbon and long the center, attach the Decorative Grand Circles Nestabilities® to the back of each circle.
Make a bow made with the Satin Ribbon, attaching a large decorative brad to the center. Attach to the base of the ribbon loop using the Beacon Adhesives - Zip Dry Paper Glue. Add small red Want2Scrap pearls on each letter as shown in the photo below.
Finish off by adding bling to each circle and on the ribbon at the base, dove tail the end of the ribbon.

Tuesday T&T Embossing With Glitter
by Shirley Ross |
"Okay, so I finally did it. I managed to get past the awesome dies and into some great stamps I wanted to use for my Christmas cards. I absolutely fell in love with the Tapestry Ornament by Alesa Baker, and, of course her Tapestry Banner too. Oh yes, and her Fall Branch too. I am not good at taking photos of anything with glitter it seems. :-(
Images With Glitter:
- Stamped images on white cardstock with VersaMark ink pad. Added Stamp and Bond powder, heated until clear, added glitter, heated again.
- Cut out all of the images.
Branch Image:
- Stamped on white cardstock with Memento Olive Grove and painted with Twinkling H2O's. Other mediums work just fine.
- Fliped over and embossed from the back with a stylus.
Sentiment:
- Stamped on leftover white cardstock with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.
- Used a leftover piece of one of the banners as a frame for the sentiment as shown.
Assembly:
- Found a remnant piece of pink carstock agreeing with the glitter and cut to 4.25"X5.5"
- Mounted a 4"X5.25" piece of White Laid cardstock.
- Lined up and mounted the banners as shown.
- Used the Delicata ink pad to edge the ornament and the frame for the sentiment.
- Mounted the branch and ornament with 3D pop-dots.
- Mounted the framed sentiment.
- Added the pearls and the stick pin with pearl heart and pink bicone bead.
This truly is one of those situations where the card is so much prettier IRL. If you ever have any questions on how I did something and didn't mention it, feel free to email me.
Thanks for stopping by. You still have time to join in the "Celebrating The Holidays Challenge". For the details go HERE. See back here for DT Thursday and the challenge winner too!!"
