Tomorrow, Lisa Yang will be teaching 2 classes at Art 'n Soul and she will be holding a Local King Rubber Stamps Trunk Show. If you are not one of the lucky class students, you'll want to stop in at Art 'n Soul to look over the stamps and matching dies! Local King's dies not only cut very close to the edge and inside the design, they emboss too. Don't miss out!
If you'd like to 'study' the Local King Rubber Stamp Catalog, you can click on this link to see the entire collection, including dies, here:  Local King Rubber Stamp Catalog. Make your list and then stop in at Art 'n Soul tomorrow afternoon!

Susie's wooden board book class the other night was terrific, and even more traffic were all of the new people taking the class. These book sets are special order from Magenta, and you can order a set from the store . . . $9 for 5 wooden tiles that are nicely sanded and ready to color and stamp, and 3 metal rings. Once you discover this new art form (for us!), you'll want to order sets for yourself; I ordered 4 sets during the class!
Look at everything we worked with . . . alcohol inks, Magenta stamps,
Tsukineko's StazOn ink, Prismacolor colored pencils and our imaginations!

All of us worked to finish at least one tile; one student actually finished all of her tiles. I, of course, was at the other end of the spectrum almost finishing one tile waiting to put a finishing touch on it at home. All of these photos are shown to you with the understanding that they are all still "works in progress!"

Don't you love the way Sam colored the kitty's eyes?

Katie was so excited to use one of the
stamps she purchased at Recycled Rubber.

This photo has been shown on Facebook quite a bit in the last week. I know some of you don't participate in Facebook, so I wanted to share this sweet, sweet picture with you. "Sweetness personified!"
