From Tombow's blog . . . I love little projects like this! Art 'n Soul carries the Tombow rolling adhesive. I use it instead of the ATG and love it; it's small enough to nicely fit into my basic class kit. And this Day Book would be so easy to make from scratch and would be a good way to use up some of that paper stash (whole and partial pieces) that you've been waiting to use up!

"Have you heard of the Amy Tangerine Day Books?? Well they are very in lately and, a few of my friends on the Smash*aholics Group on Facebook started to make them. Well I gave into it too and I couldn’t believe how easy and fun it was!! It took me less than two hours to make everything in it. Which is fast for me because I am the slowest scrapper ever!!
For these embellishments cluster I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue and the Tombow Power Tabs for the button in the center of the Spirograph embellishment and the black and white brad. For the closure of the book I used the Fastener Tabs which work amazingly!! I placed the brad and on top of the prongs I placed one side of the Fastener Tab. Then I peeled off the other side of the Fastener Tab and Ta-Da!!
See?? You barely see the prongs.
For binding the book I sewed the side with Twine.
Here is a collage of the pages. I left them pretty bare so I can add things and embellishments as I fill the book. For the “Polaroid” I used the Mono Adhesive Removable so I can add a photo behind it later. For gluing the glassine envelope I used the Mono Adhesive Dots and for the glasses and mustache I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue.
For making the little folders I folded the bottom of the paper up and then I did a little slit in the center so the fold will look better and the did some corner rounder action and to glue them on the side I used the Mono Adhesive Dots. There you can add tickets and memorabilia.
For that last pocket I folded to the side but first I glues the border punch strip with the Mono Adhesive Dots and then I glued the top and bottom to make the pocket.
I used the Kaleidoscope Collection from Momenta and I made my die cuts with my Cricut.
Have you used the Amy Tangerine Day Books?? Would you be interested in making your own?? You should totally try it!! If you make one with you Tombow Products share your project with us. We would LOVE to see what are you up too ;0)
I hope you liked mine!!"
Take Care!
From Penny Black's blog, they're starting to introduce their new stamp designs shown at CHA last month. I really like this card design featuring Tsukineko's Memento Inks . . . I loved the simplicity of the leaves in a color I would not have thought to use! I think we all agree that Heather Telford's artistry is a real favorite.

Introducing Foliage Fancy

by Jenyfur
"We have several newly released transparent sets and we’re pleased to show “Foliage Fancy” to you today along with a lovely card by Heather Telford."
by Heather Telford for Penny Black
"Technique: Heather embossed the outline leaves in clear then inked the solid leaves in three memento colours and stamped them over the outline leaves before sponging."

From Graphic 45's blog, I am always amazed at the creativity of the guest artists they feature. This one is a partial post featuring the artistry of Anne Rostad; her blog can be seen at Anne Rostad's blog page; I know her blog is going to be listed on My Favorite's List. I may have to 're-visit' my Magic of Oz paper stash from Graphic 45!
"Now it's time to take a journey to Oz with this fantastic Magic of Oz mini album that Anne created! Every page of this dazzling mini album is like taking a journey down the yellow brick road! Anne tends to use one single Graphic 45 collection when she creates her magnificent crafts. She really focuses on the beautiful and unique qualities that each collection has to offer. This gorgeous Magic of Oz mini album is a perfect example of her precise artistic eye. Every page of this mini tells an enchanting story. Here is another great video that Anne created where she takes you on a tour through this captivating mini!"

Tomorrow, the outside temperature is expected to be a cooler 80 degrees. We know the extreme hot weather keeps everyone at home, like yesterday and today! We hope that this week you'll get your Art Mojo running and come to see us at Art 'n Soul!
That's it for tonight. There is only another half hour of the Olympic's coverage that I want to see before bedtime.
