Our stamp orders from Magenta and Rubber Moon arrived today. Come on in to take a look and see what stamping treasures you want before the selection disappears. We've been gearing up for our 9th Annual Birthday Party on Sunday, July 22, with several orders and can't wait to tag you with it all that afternoon.
At the end of last week, new embossing folders in the new Serentiy Collection arrived that were just released by Couture Collections. You know these are going to look absolutely gorgeous as embossed designs on your favorite card stock and Shimmer Sheetz!
Sandy Jackson with Some-Assembly-Required returns to Art 'n Soul to teach us how to make the beautiful 'hasty lace' snowflake with micro fine glitter. When we saw it last fall, we just drooled. We've been able to find a date on our calendar that matched up with Sandy's busy show schedule so she could give us personal instruction.

The photos do not really detail the beauty of this hasty lace design; the sample is at the store for you to look at. When making your holiday decorations and cards, if you use this particular design, the recipients are going to think you are quite the artist!

Sandy of Some Assembly Required
“SPECTACULAR SNOWFLAKE CHRISTMAS” $25
Sandy, owner of Some Assembly Required, will be making a return appearance at Art ‘n Soul to teach a unique class, featuring her gorgeous paper piercing technique. It’s fun, and much easier than it looks! You don’t have to be on Sandy’s Christmas card list to own this lovely card. You can make one for yourself! We will start with a quick review for those who aren’t familiar with using the Hasty Lace templates from SAR. Then we will make the snowflake with the template for the snowflake and instructions for where to use each tool to give it depth and interest. Sandy will supply the parts to make the card and top it off with glitter. This class requires the use of all three tools – 1 mm embossing took, Single Needle tool, and the Arrow tool. If you have any of these, please bring them, especially the Arrow tool. Please bring eyewear if you need it for detailed close-up work! A good light source, such as an Ott Light, would also be handy, if you have one.
This is an exciting time because many of our vendors are providing sneak peeks to new introductions they'll be launching at CHA in a couple of weeks.

We have about another week of moving work into the new house. The boxes we brought up by the end of last week have been opened and the items put away. We enjoyed our first dinner party celebrating the birthdays of my husband (68 years young) and his son (the BIG 40) on Saturday for 37 members of the family.
After that, I managed to sleep through from Saturday night until today (Monday) around 10'ish this morning. I slept through phone calls and doorbells. I am back among the living and looking forward to the week ahead, and to the remaining 2/3 of our packed boxes to arrive.
This Friday the Art 'n Soul Journal Club meets. There is so much art going on when they meet and everyone is welcome to join in . . . it's free! and more important, it's fun! Please join us between 4 and 6 p.m. this Friday afternoon.
Talk to you again, real soon!
