Els with Elizabeth Craft Designs posted a couple of the cards she's prepping for her classes at Art 'n Soul on Sunday, and in Oregon on Saturday, on Facebook. After reading these posts, I can't wait to try these easy techniques.

"Finished some samples for the classes in Oregon and Washington upcoming weekend. It is coloring with the Copic markers on top of colored glitter. The Peel Off's I used for these samples are 2532 Flowers in Frame, 814 Letters, 397 Happy Birthday, 842 Lines and corners and some glitter dots 7018 and glitter lines 7010. The base is the Be Creative tape 65mm on white card stock and the glitter I used is our Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter Grasshopper (74) and Lavender (15). When you color on top of the colored glitter the color of the glitter will have an effect on the Copic color you are using because the Copic is transparent. So, when you want to do this technique
you need to use a light color of the glitter."
Els class at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. has 2 openings left (as of this morning) . . . you'll be making a necklace pendant and a mosaic cover out of Shimmer Sheetz. Check yesterday's blog post for a photo. Call the store asap to sign up at 360.357.6820.

Check out this explosion box from Cheery Lynn . . .

Explosion Box

"Good morning Cheery Lynn fans! It's Tuesday and time for a fun project I created using some of my favorite Cheery Lynn Dies! When I started creating this box I didn't realize how much fun I was having until I was all through! I just kept adding to it and I'm so happy with the results. This project is a great gift for anyone and a gorgeous little decoration! When you untie the ribbon and take the lid off this little box explodes with butterflies flying around the flowers! I made the centers of the flowers from pink clay and a push mold. The butterflies are suspended with strips of acetate which makes the butterflies jiggle and look like they are hoovering over the flowers."

I stopped into the store very quickly today to take a picture of Marj's new sample card and attempt taking pics of Susie's new board book (unsuccessful attempt). I was delighted to see Kerri and Terry stopping in to see what's new . . . and Dianne demonstrating her magic to a new customer. Have you stopped in to make your the Memory Box Color of the Month Make-n-Take? or to see the restocked Pan Pastels that you might be able to pick up that color you were wanting?

This morning, there were 2 geese standing on either side of the heather along the bank. We discovered there was a gosling hidden in the heather and would pop its head up once in a  while. Mom and Dad were 'on guard' over their little one; I surmised they were giving their baby a little rest from all of the swimming. Mom and Dad then decided it was time to swim again, so off they went. It's so fun to see the babies in spring . . . I'm now on the look out for the baby ducklings.

I'm off to make a smoothie for dinner (bananas, frozen berries, cranberry juice, greek yogurt and tofu), and then to bed. The dance of moving into a new house requires an 'early to bed, early to rise' mode!
