Guess what these are? They're the Advantus Ideaology ephemera for your special projects, i.e., Word Sticks, Sprocket Gears, Adornments . . . and not pictured because I cannot find the downloaded versions are the Timepieces, Design Ruler.

The long-awaited Product order arrived today; Deb was busy checking the order, pricing and putting everything out for your 'eye candy' pleasure! I didn't get any pics from the store, so I've attempted to download images from Products' website and their pics are a little small! I'm unable to enlarge them because they become quite blurred if I do. So trust me, please, when I say these are items we've had at the store in the front glass case that you've always loved!

I am expecting an order of Elizabeth Craft Designs' Shimmer Sheetz by the end of the week, just in time for Els' class on Sunday. I ordered all of the colors except the yellow and pink iris colors. In the solid metallic colors, I only ordered the bronze, red and green. If you would like any of those sheets 'reserved', please call the store at 360.357.6820 because once they come in, they're gonna fly right out of the store!

Magenta's new Cat of the Season has been introduced. If you're not one of our Art'n Soul customers who has a standing order for the Magenta cat stamp series, then you might want to call the store to order Pinou because our Magenta order is going in very soon. Call us at 360.357.6820 or email us at Art 'n Soul.

From Penny Black's blog, I love this monochromatic card design:

by Jenyfur Pohl;
SUPPLIES: Free Flight 30-117. The background stamp was stamped in tan onto white, butterflies were stamped in espresso then trimmed and mounted with foam tape. Greeting was also stamped in espresso.

From the Memory Box blog, this tree die looks like it will be so versatile to use for all of the occasions and holidays through the year as they describe below.

"It's time to start sharing ideas featuring our new release of dies and stamps - right on schedule for graduation, Father's Day, weddings and summer projects.  You're also invited to join us for a Design Team Blitz on our Outside the Box blog this week - ideas, inspiration...and prizes!  Upload a project featuring a Memory Box Die on our Flickr page - you could win a prize there too.

Leaf Swirl 98345 (on the left) is an overlay designed to coordinate with Swirly Tree 98346.  The Makes Me Smile Combo B1765 has a tiny ladybug stamp attached to its side too.  The Double Ticket Die 98104 is a classic favorite from an earlier release.
Diecutting intricate designs like these is easy with the Memory Box Metal Adapter Plate, Big Kick, Multipurpose Platform and 2 clear cutting plates.  Here's the "stack" I use:
  • Multipurpose Platform
  • Metal Adapter Plate
  • Cutting Plate
  • Die  - face up
  • Cardstock (lightly taped to the die)
  • Cutting Plate
The Swirly Tree and Leaf Swirl are must-haves - you'll love them!  Imagine them with Bubblegum, Taffy or Cherry Blossom Cardstock on a spring card. Or Mango Cardstock for a Halloween card.  Glittered white cardstock turns it into a perfect holiday tree."

Welcome back to our Outside the Box Blitz, introducing  the newest  Memory Box Dies and Stamps!  We have prizes and contests for you - win some great dies just by leaving comments on each post here, or by adding a card featuring our dies to our Flickr group.  Details are listed at the end of this post.
Our Design Team is lined up and ready to share a rainbow of colorful projects with you.  Here's a summer-bright card featuring the coordinating Delia Butterfly 98353 and intricate Finn Butterfly 98351.
    P1080707
Begin by pressing the Citrus Splash ColorBox Multi-Color Inkpad onto an acrylic block (3.5" x 4.75" or larger).  Spritz the smoother side of 140# cold-pressed watercolor paper lightly with water.  Spritz the inked block three times and let the inks start blending.  Press the inked block firmly onto the paper.  Remove the block and tilt the paper to let any excess ink spread along the edges of the inked rectangle to create an area (about 5.5"x4.5") to diecut the Delia Butterfly.  Clean the acrylic block.
Heat-set the inks until they're just a bit damp.  Spray the paper with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz then quickly press the acrylic block onto the spritzed paper to disperse and spread the rich metallic shimmer.  Let the inks dry for a few more minutes, then heat-set them with a dry iron on the cotton setting.
Diecut the butterfly using the Metal Adapter Plate with the other plates required for thin metal dies.  (It's not an intricate die, but the Adapter helps cut through the heavy watercolor paper.)  Ink the edges with Pumpkin Pie.  Stamp Very Best B1359 on a scrap of the paper with Golf Course and ink the edges with Khaki Green.
Diecut the Finn Butterfly and antennae from Key Lime Distressed Dots using the Adapter and other plates.
Stamp Vintage Dreams on Mango Dots with Khaki Green, trim it and ink the edges with Khaki Green.  Attach the center of the Finn Butterfly and the antennae to the watercolor butterfly.  Attach the pieces to a 5.5" square card of Cream Textured Cardstock - use foam dots for the wing tips and greeting.  Attach three gold mini-brads below the greeting.   Hope you like the card and have fun with the technique - your results will be beautiful and unique each time!

That's it for tonight. More packing . . .the Comcast appointment I was supposed to have this morning is now tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow should be an interesting day at the new house because the 2 largest appliances are being delivered, 2 new bedroom sets, new living room furniture, new patio furniture and 6 new mattress sets. There are going to be lots of new people meeting new people . . . I don't even want to think where all of these delivery and work trucks are going to park. I can't think of a better time to hole up in my new studio and start to think about how it's all going to be organized!
