Deb's Zentangled Ways, Magenta Fun & Recycled Rubber

RECYCLED RUBBER happens this weekend, beginning at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (Saturday, March 5) through 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Yes, that's an entire weekend to browse through all of the new RR that has arrived over the last few weeks. Best selection starts right at 10:0 a.m. tomorrow morning!

While you're in the store for Recycled Rubber this weekend, take a look at the discounted paper box. Lucky for you that that the month of March has 31 days because all 12x12 papers in the box are discounted 31%. I cleaned out the box and donated those papers to a special person who loves to scrapbook and struggles to just make the rent and put food on the table. There is a whole new supply of papers . . . please take a look!

Deb Kuttel has been zentangling her way through the evenings by creating a design book that catalogs all of the zentangles she discovers online. She bought a "Moleskin" book with graph paper; she likes the Moleskin brand because the pages do not bleed onto the next page. Of course, there are few people who could be as 'neat and perfect' as Deb is with this book (other than Catherine!); however, we've heard rave reviews about Mary E.'s book . . . we hope she'll bring it into the store again soon so we might show off some of her beautiful work!

 And here's Deb's latest Zentangle . . .

Sue has been busy, too. Here are two sample cards she made using Magenta stamps, Impression Obsession background stamps, and the new Pan Pastels . . . watch for her new class that she just added to the schedule today . . . Wednesday, April 6! Watch for more information.

Everytime we see the lace background stamp,
we think it's the real thing! and not a stamped image!
Try it . . . you'll like it . . . and you'll want one!

I played around with the new Magenta stamp featuring the cat in the coffee mug. Since there is such a thing as "Irish Coffee" and St. Patrick's Day is in a couple of weeks . . . voila! I used Versamark on Paper Parachute paper, colored the Magenta image with Prismacolor pencils, and highlighted around the trim design on the stamped image and the cat's whiskers with a Sakura Stardust pen; I then adhered the stamped paper onto green mirror cardstock, and then onto an SEI cardstock. Nothing fancy . . . just fun!

I brought my Grand Caliber home to play with this weekend. Stacy, the owner of Spellbinders, gave me an autographed copy of her latest book featuring ways to use the beautiful Spellbinder dies and I can't wait to try a few of their ideas.

See you soon at Art 'n Soul!
