Peek into the Steampunk Journal

Here are some peeks into the Steampunk Journal that we will be making in a class on Saturday, March 26, at Art 'n Soul. We're using the Steampunk Debutante paper line from Graphic 45 that offers so many fantastic images and designs to work with. In the morning from 9 until noon, everyone will construct the shell of the fabric with poster board and fabric, and then construct the inside pages. The fabric comes from Spoonflower and is custom-designed for the Steampunk theme.

There will be lots of opportunity to stamp, write notes, etc., in the journal so you can express the steampunk in you!

In the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00, Cindy Sharp is going to provide embellishments for the journal and other artistic touches. She now has possession of the journal to add those embellishments. We're hoping to have the journal at the store by next weekend so you can see how fun this project will be.

This is the first of this type of class subject . . . fabric and paper journaling. We hope you will give it a try!

It's now Saturday! It's very difficult to think that it is Saturday, February 12, and Valentine's Day is only 2 days away! How has the 'new' of the year disappeared so quickly! This morning, we're taking the grandnephew and grandniece to the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center . . . hopefully I'll find my magic wand!
