I had planned to be here last night but the time got away from me. It's been quite an evening . . . we just finished hosting a dinner for 12 friends. And then it coincides with the last game of the World Series . . . what a game, all the way to the finish!

We have world-class classes at Art 'n Soul. Two of them are coming up very soon . . . the second weekend in November! Check these out!

Saturday, November 8, 12pm to 4pm, “BEZEL BOOK
John Petersen  $30
Sometimes the best things are found in small packages – and that’s the idea
behind this mini book! The book covers of this book are bezels, filled with your
favorite Prima embellishments and other found objects. Carry your creativity
over to the insidepages of this bezel book to personalize this keepsake.

The Bezel Book that you make doesn't have to be pink, and you don't have to embellish with hearts. This was an example John had made for another purpose. This is such a great gift item to make for someone. I'm unable to be at the class because of an out-of-state trip. However, if I were in the class, I'd be making this little bezel book with brown and gold tones. The left photo shows the front of the book; the right photo shows the front and back covers. The middle photo shows the book opened up part way.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN’T DRAW? – Tamara Velez Hyde $30
Have you ever looked at your rubber stamp collection and secretly wished you could
draw your own designs?  With these simple step by step instructions you can!  Four
Holiday pattern sheets will guide you bit by bit as you create your personal
one-of-a-kind Holiday inspired drawings. Use them for greeting cards, to embellish
photo albums and scrapbooking pages, or simply to practice your drawing skills. Come
try your hand at becoming an artist.
Please bring Basic Class Kit, black micron .01 pen, favorite set of colored pencils,
optional embellishments (glitter, stickers, gems, etc).

This is another class I would love to take at Art 'n Soul. I don't know how many times I've wished I could draw something of my own, and shrink back from the thought when reality returns. Tamara is a true drawing artist; those of you in the Art 'n Soul's Journal Club know very well how beautiful her artistry is. No need to be intimidated. It's amazing what tips and tricks can be learned to make the process easier and less complex. Give yourself the chance to learn from Tamara . . . I know you won't be disappointed!

To sign up for either class, please stop by the store or call us at 360.357.6820 to sign up.
