From the Elizabeth Craft Design posting on Facebook, Els has made a card using one of the new peel-off sticker designs.

by Els for Elizabeth Craft Designs"Els van de Burgt created this colorful card using one of the flowers from the new Crystal Flowers Peel-off sheet (2579) and our new Happy Birthday Large Peel-off (2577). She colored on top of the Silk Microfine Glitter Cool Diamond. For the background she used a piece of Blue Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz embossed with Lots of Dots. She also added some black Peel-off borders around the edges and some Glitter Dots in the flower."

Ellie Knol submitted her monthly challenge to Magenta using fall colors. Like Dianne, Ellie has used that terrific leaf stamp that we love so much at Art 'n Soul.

A new member of the RubberMoon Design Team has made a 'cabinet' card; I really like the techniques that she used.

On the IMAGINE Crafts' blog, the Artists-in-Residence are making postcards from Stampendous stamps. Cathy Andronicou has made a video for her card . . . click on this link for the video -- http://imaginecraftsblog.com/2014/09/02/wooden-postcard-seaside-greetings/.

Also on the blog is another postcard from Linda Lucas; I love the richness of the colors.

Sgrafitto is a technique using Splash Inks and Mineral Paper. From the Yasutomo website, see how this was made; I can think of a stamp from JudiKins that I want to try this technique with.

The store has had an awesome response from our call for Operation Write Home cards. It's still a process once you drop off your beautifully made handmade cards. We have to stamp the back of each card with the OWH stamp. We have to insert the back of the card into the envelope and fold the front of the card over with the flap underneath it . . . each and everyone one. And then we have to bundle and box up the cards for mailing in. Once that is done, we can take the boxes to the post office to mail to the OWH office. Then they have more sorting and packaging to do. All of these efforts are more than worth it for the recipients who will use these cards to write back home . . . members of our country's armed forces who are deployed away from their homes, families and friends. Here is a quick sampling of the first batch I worked on . . . unfortunately, I do not have names of anyone who made the cards.

I hope you're enjoying the late season of summer. And that you're enjoying many of the new products that have been arriving at Art 'n Soul. The small Ranger order arrived, so please check in to see if there's something you missed the last time. The order for more distressed watercolor pads from Ranger should be here tonight and hopefully to the store by Friday morning, as well as the smaller-sized Dylusions Journal.

And I'll see you tomorrow!
