Today's Recycled Rubber Saturday was terrific. Mike enjoyed his first Recycled Rubber where he was in charge and at the till. He was awesome and he loved meeting everybody. I enjoyed seeing folks I haven't seen in quite a while, too; and I especially enjoyed meeting the gals from Everett and Kirkland!

The best part of the day was, for me, also seeing the beautiful cards our customers brought in to share. We always love seeing what you do with your purchases at Art 'n Soul and how you apply the techniques you learn at Art 'n Soul.

Jane Townsend brought these cards in . . . the shading and contrasts of the foliage is beautiful.

Patti Ritterhouse shared these cards with us today, too! Several of these cards are after she took the JudiKins' class at the store last month using Mica Gloss, Diamond Glaze and the Twinkling Glitter Embossing Powders.

Thank you, Jane and Patti, for sharing your card artistry with us.

By the way, there is a possible opening in Helene's Magenta 'book card class' on Saturday, July 19. One of the students has had a conflict arise and would be very appreciative if someone else who wanted to take the class but didn't register early enough took her spot. The cost of the class is $35. As of today, the class is full.

Saturday, July 19, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.  BOOK CARDS”  $35
Learn to make the most beautiful book cards you have ever seen; including some shaped like adorable Dutch houses, and a gorgeous butterfly!  Samples are in the shop.

Please stop in or call the store (360.357.6820) if you would like to take this one available spot in the class that is otherwise closed to more students.

From the IMAGINE Crafts' blog, Sylvia Blum has made a simple yet beautiful card using Fireworks! spray.

That's all for tonight. Mike is back at the store tomorrow and the Recycled Rubber bargains will also be there. I noticed today that several of our customers had not seen the works of our current Featured Artist of the Month, and that is Mike! So while you're at the store tomorrow, take a look on the shelf at the front of the store and Mike can answer any questions you have about the techniques he used.

Instead of critter pics to lighten your day, I wanted to share this photo of an African Daisy. It is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! We sell so many floral stamp designs and it's refreshing to learn a new flower pattern from nature.
