Great news for everyone at Art 'n Soul! Mike Turner has joined the Art 'n Soul team and after his initial training period, he will be working primarily on the weekends. Dianne says Mike is doing so well, he should be on his own very, very soon!

Mike Turner . . . the newest member of the Art 'n Soul Team
I know many of you have seen Mike in the store as a customer and as a student in several classes. And by coincidence, Mike is our featured Artist-of-the-Month as shown in yesterday's blog post; he was chosen to be the AOM last month and his hiring was truly a surprise for us . . . and Mike! All of us are looking forward to working with Mike . . . and I know you're gonna love him too! As you saw from yesterday's sampling of his work, Mike is passionate about fine art rubber stamping, card making and learning new techniques.

Another beautiful card from one of the Magenta Design Team Members . . .

From the Elizabeth Craft Designs' blog comes a gorgeous card using tulip peel-offs. I think I've said before that tulips are one of my favorite flowers and I was so happy to see this card!

Susie made this very nice card using stamps from Lost Coast Designs and the new Splash Inks, topped with some Wink of Stella.

Heather Telford shows how to make another one-layer card. I really like this card design; who would ever think to leave so much blank or white space!

Susie's cards are still available for sale. I took some photos of a few earlier today and, I must say, the prices are more than reasonable and the art work is more than wonderful! They're on the class table . . . take a look and take a few home with you.

I saw the class samples from Agi for the Paper Parachute classes in July! All I can say is it is so nice that Agi is returning to Art 'n Soul because I've always loved how she layers the cards, and her prep work for the classes is always so precise. Both classes are a 'must' on my calendar, and I hope they'll be on your 'must do' class schedule as well. I would show you the samples here, but Agi does not allow publication of any kind of her class samples before a class. You'll have to stop into the store to see them . . . and you really should!

By the way, the new class schedule has been posted. At the top of the right column, click on "Class Schedule" under "Pages". I know there are 3 spots left in the Judikins' Mica Gloss class, and a couple of spots in the Friday night Terry Medaris colored pencil class.

We'll see you tomorrow!

I just love how sweet this little "Doxie" looks all curled
up in the enormous sheep!
