Today is March 12 and Dianne's daughter is now married; the ceremony took place in Iceland some time this morning our time. The photos she sent of Morgan and Sindri showed how happy they are, and how cute they are together! Our congratulations to Morgan and Sindri, wishing you many, many happy years together. And our congratulations to Dianne and Jim as the proud parents of the blushing bride.

Marj was busy at Art 'n Soul today. She made this card using one of the new Magenta stamps that we have in stock. Marj noted that many stampers are sometimes hesitant to use a solid stamp design; they're wonderful to use and easy to use if you're using the right medium.

Magenta Stamp 48.005.O

by Marj Marion
  • Magenta Stamp
  • Distress Markers applied directly to stamp, spritz with water and stamp, spritz again and stamp again, spritz again and stamp again
  • Penny Black "Letter Background" Stamp (1999L) inked random sections with Shabby Shutters Distress Markers
  • 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper card stock
  • Wide ribbon 'knot' technique -- very easy and quick

There was some prep involved by Marj to prepare for her "Penny Black" demo offer at the store today.

And then she worked her magic! Look at these card tops featuring these wonderful Penny Black stamps . . .

You really need to see this card 'in person' to appreciate how truly beautiful the card top turned out.

Marj and I were wondering where this card came from. We then deduced that the only other person who has been at the store the last few days has been Patti!

This simple card features a wonderful Memory Box flower die and overlay die. Check them out at Art 'n Soul!

Over at the IMAGINE Crafts blog, check this video posting for jewelry made from the IMAGINE Crafts monterey pine wood pieces. Pretty darn cool! I'll be ordering those pieces for the store next month.

Tomorrow night I'm going to Auburn Riverside High School to see the musical "All Shook Up". I've heard the kids sing 25 Elvis songs throughout the play. I don't think I'll be sitting still!
