Check out the new 6x6 paper pads from Kaisercraft. I mentioned in an earlier posting that I was ordering these papers because of the beautiful sample cards I saw on the Outlines Rubber Stamp Company website (I think those cards are on the blog . . . just scroll back to earlier posts). They arrived yesterday and half of them have flown out the door!
And look at some of the papers you'll find inside the pad . . . some are embossed and could be even more beautiful when using your Pan Pastel chalks or beautiful ink colors against the resist embossing.

by Els for Elizabeth Craft Designs Only 11 days till Valentine so time for another Valentine card. For this card Iembossed a piece of Light Pink Shimmer Sheetz (SS0105). The embossing folder I used is one that will not be available before Valentine but any embossing folder will work for this card and I know there are really nice embossing folders with hearts available so that would be a really good choice as well. Next to the Shimmer Sheetz piece I put a strip of the 5mm Be Creative tape, sprinkled the microfine Warm Highlight glitter (50mfp), brushed it off and burnished it. This is on the pink cardstock and this is how you can get a light pink glitter, just use the Warm Highlight on pink cardstock. Then I used the following Peel Off stickers for this card: 7048 Glitter Flowers Pink, 1283 Glitter Elegant Swirls in Pink, 7045 Glitter Ribbon Branches Pink and the 814 Alphabet 1 Upper Key in silver but colored it with a permanent marker in pink before I put it on the card. |

Marj is bringing back a darling project from her friend in England and you won’t want to miss it. We’ll combine some stamp-wood blocks, beautiful papers, clever punching and die-cutting, ink, paint, bling, ribbon, and YOUR imagination for this project. You’ll make a set of three coordinated, decorated blocks, plus a single, separate block. Participants will choose from a variety of papers, as the packets will vary. The themes will be either Birds or Floral. Decorate your home or use your projects as special gifts for a friend. Your project will be unique to you and your imagination! Please bring your basic kit, a sharp craft knife and cutting mat, and several large or small finger daubers.

Inspired by a recent article in Country Living Magazine, create a memory game with twinchie squares. This class will be more along the lines of a workshop with all kinds of photos, stamps, patterned papers and paints to create your own set of 18 Twinchie Squares (9 pairs) for a memorable game appropriate for kids or adults.
