I just had to share these two beautiful creations from the Cheery Lynn Designs' blog  . . .

Winter Sunshine

"Hello! Jodi here today! How’s the weather in your area? Being from Minnesota, I can say we have had an exceptionally warm, snow-free winter! However, the days have been a bit cloudy and dreary lately so I thought I would bring you some Winter Sunshine!

The base of the card was created by layering the largest Stacker Nesting Die-Square Scallop and Silver Stacker Square Classic. Next, the Dutch Scallop Square Frame cut from a sunshiney yellow!

The details on this lacy frame are just pronominal! Again, layers from the Stacker Nesting Die- Square Scallop and Silver Stacker Square Classic using a middle size die are stacked atop. Don’t you just love the dainty doily in the center? It is the center cut of the Dutch Scallop Square Frame….two gorgeous doily cuts in one die! Framing my sentiment is the smallest die from each set of Stacker Nesting Die Circle Scallopand Silver Stacker Circle classic.

Dressing up the corner of the frame is a flower created from the new Cuties 1 with foliage from Stacker Flower #1 and Pine Branches."

Dawn was the winner in Cheery Lynn's recent "Pretty in Pink" contest . . . this stunning beauty is a lantern using Cheery Lynn's Cathedral Lace Frame and Victorian Romance Flourish dies. This has to be one of the most beautiful lanterns I have seen! I better check my stash to see if I hopefully own these two dies  . . .  if not, here comes another pink sheet!

The fabulous Suze Weinberg has been making some great jewelry, including a necklace made of embossed and sanded Shimmer Sheetz. Check it out:

Els says she colored this peel-off with the new Distress Markers and
can't stop coloring . . . says they work great on watercolor paper.
Art 'n Soul has ordered these markers and are being shipped to the store
as we 'speak'! Did you order yours?

The Saturday Inchie Block class was so much fun and enlightening. Lisa is so talented and clever and organized!

It's been quite a while since we've enjoyed a class taught by Gwen Evans. Representing Animal Spirit - Earth Art, Gwen will instruct us through 4 cards using the beautiful stamped artwork of Sue Coccia in a special class on Saturday, April 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The class will be followed by a demo and trunk show in the afternoon. Here's one of the gorgeous cards that you'll make in class:

Recycled Rubber is this weekend, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. You should see all of the recyclable treasures rolling into the store . . . store staff have been lightening their load at home so you know there will be some awesome deals to find!

A small order of the new Paper Parachute stamps are in . . .

Which reminds me, have you signed up for Agi's classes at Art 'n Soul? They're happening on Saturday, April 21? The first class is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; the second class is from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Agi's flying back here from the east coast where she now resides. Those of us who are devoted Paper Parachute aficionados always know we're never disappointed when we take a class from Agi because the cards we make are stunning! I never need to see a sample ahead of time . . . I just know I had better sign up because I'll regret it later!

That's it for tonight. I am taking a friend to SeaTac in the morning; she's taking a mini-vacation to Tucson and Sedona. Unfortunately, I outweigh the baggage weight limits and won't be accompanying her.
