When it rains, it pours. We've been so busy sending orders in, and now we're busy receiving the orders. Too much fun! The orders started arriving on Monday (yesterday as I write this).
Webster's Pages Botanical Christmas collection is at the store, and oh my! The papers are gorgeous and when you look at them, you are overwhelmed with ideas on how to use it all.
Front and Back of the 6x6 paper pak; it combines the collection of papers from both Botanical Christmas and Winter Fairy Tales. |
Fabric ribbons to complement the beautiful papers; there is approximately 1/2 yard of each ribbon. |
Papers, dies and stamps are at the store from Memory Box. The papers are so well done. Many of the dies had been pre-ordered, but we have several available for open sale as well (as I speak 'now'!).
For Halloween, the spider web stamp is a 2-for-1; the web and then there's the itty-bitty spider on the end of the wood block. Very clever! |
Dianne says she has this stamp and embossed this stamp image with silver embossing powder on black paper. |
Don't you love how the Memory Box polar bear stamp goes with the Memory Box Polar Bear holiday paper? |
This paper is so sweet because of the candy canes! |
The 6x6 Memory Box paper pads . . .
Tsukineko's Shimmery Goosebumps, Clear Goosebumps and Ink Potion No. 9 are on the front table . . . better get to the store quickly if you didn't pre-order any of these.
Dianne recommended that we look at the Sizzix "embossing folder & matching stamp" sets and their "dies with matching stamp" sets . . . there is a small quantity at the store to see how you like them. So far the response has been very supportive as seen in the quick sales. You need to stop in at the store as soon as possible to look at these . . . they may not be around for very long!
Look what I found on the Graphic 45 website today; it features a unique card using their new Christmas Emporium paper collection that we've just ordered.
Next we have this amazing Christmas Emporium card by Robin Shakoor. You wont believe how cute and clever this card is. At first glance it looks like a flat image, but from the side you can see all the amazing dimensions! This wonderful creation is full of so much holiday cheer! Here is what Robin had to say about her creative process.
"I created this fun Outer Stair Step Card using the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium collection. The card base is pre-scored and is made by a company called The Paper Cut. This card design allows you to add a multitude of beautiful layers to your project. I used Fiskars Postage Stamp border punch to create a delicate scalloped border which was topped with diamond Stickles. To continue with the postage stamp theme, I punched a postage stamp shape to mat my postal stamp image cut from my patterned paper. The beautiful Santa image is my favorite from the collection and serves as my focal point." -Robin Shakoor

The store staff enjoyed putting on a baby shower dinner for Alissa this evening. We had lots of fun, met her mom Kathy who looks like she could be Alissa's sister, and oooh'd and ahhh'd over the cutest little baby things. She's enjoying the 'girlie' stuff that she's accumulating for Anna Joy . . . yes, you heard the baby's name here first!
We still have plenty more to share with you, so please keep checking in with us. Better yet, come on in and see for yourself all of the yummy new fun 'stuff' at Art 'n Soul.
