Here are the pics of the book covers everyone made in Susie's Star Book class last Saturday. Each student was given an assortment of beautiful papers to make their book cover with, and then they were asked to find 1 yard of any ribbon in the store.
Sam and Sandra made matching book covers. |
The 2-sided gold/black ribbon really accessorized these two books beautifully. |
Don't you love the bumble bee ribbon with insect paper? The theme is continued inside the book with the Magenta stamped images that were stamped to take home to color, finish and place. |
This paper and ribbon were like the sample book Susie had made . . . don't you love it? |
Two of us chose the same paper and used different ribbons. The dark pleated ribbon added a nice dimension to the book. And I just had to figure out how to add my favorite 'green colors' to the book, which I was able to do with this beautiful ribbon. |
While giving instruction, Susie simultaneously made the start of another Sar Book. |
Susie brought in a tray full of Magenta nature and flourish stamps that everyone could stamp off to take home. Our time in class was dedicated to completing the structure of the book. |
Here we are learning how to make the book covers. The Star Book is a beautiful book to make, and it's perfect for so many theme ideas. |
Deb Kuttel has been busy creating beautiful cards with her Copic markers and a stamp and special paper from Paper Parachute. They're on the front counter right now.

The Art 'n Soul friends and family should have received their email today to remind them about this week-end's RECYCLED RUBBER sale. To say there are a lot of new treasures doesn't begin to describe how much has arrived at the store in the last couple of weeks.

to say 'yes' to greater things."
