This is a 'steal' at $3 per package. Two sizes of double-sided papers from Magenta. |
Elaine Woodhouse was at the store yesterday afternoon teaching 'Layered Paper Landscapes' to eager students. The technique was similar to past Iris Folding classes led by Catherine Woodward.
This is Elaine's Sample Board for the Class. The students made the landscapes at the center and right side of the board. They took home kits for the landscape on the left. |

Carol Stollard left early and I wasn't able to take a pic of her landscapes before she left. All in all, it was a fun afternoon. They're looking forward to her June class; more info later!
From the Resort at Coeur d'Alene in Idaho . . .
the flag flying against a clear blue sky seemed so patriotic and
reminded me to always be thankful for our armed forces who
serve our country at home and abroad. While driving to Coeur d'Alene
last week, I passed 4-5 convoys in full combat gear. Whenever any of
the soldiers were sitting facing the oncoming traffic, with great pride I gave them a
thumbs-up . . . they all received my gesture with appreciation by a return
smile and a wave of acknowledgment.
And now I look at that flag and think of the people in our country who have lost
homes, loved ones, and sometimes their communities, due to the ravages of
Mother Nature . . . waking to the news about the latest tornado in Missouri
was a somber reminder that we are so lucky to live where we do. We may be
'suffering' from too much rain; however, in comparison, I will take the rain.
Prayers to everyone who are not as fortunate to sleep in their own warm
beds tonight, or who cannot hug their loved one any more.
