Happy Fourth of July . . . the day our country celebrates its independence. We gather with family and friends to appreciate the many freedoms we enjoy in our everyday lives and with that comes the admiration of people all around the world.

And because our part of the country is so hot and dry, I hope the fireworks lit will only be those in a professional show to see and not those we fire off at home.
