There is one spot left in Marj's class this coming Sunday afternoon at Art 'n Soul because a student had a last-minute conflict. You know you want that spot, so please call the store asap to sign up . . . 360.357.6820. I really really like the texture component in the technique that Marj will be teaching and I'm really looking forward to being there.

COOL DIMENSIONAL PAPER-SHAPED CARDS!” - Marj Marion
$32 per person

This brand new class has very cool and special techniques! Marj will share her creative touch in this fun and unique class. We will use special paper shaping tools to raise parts of some great stamp images, and explore different types of papers, markers and painting methods to make these exquisite cards. The photo doesn't do justice to the card, or show how this technique brings a 3-D appearance to the cards, but the class samples will be up the first week of June. You can register at any time to save your space.  Bring your Basic kit, small trimmer, metal stylus and check the supply list when you register. Try not to miss this special class!  You will make three wonderful cards in class, and receive two kits to take home to make more.

Using your stencils a lot? Are they getting dirty with clumps of pastes, acrylics, etc.? Watch this video from John Petersen of IMAGINE Crafts to see how simple a cleaning job can be!

Helene has been busy playing with Magenta's new stencil designs.

I know a lot of folks enjoy creating window cards. Look at this 'window' card by Marika for Penny Black.

And over at Studio Sessions, Jill Foster has made a card that stands out using Penny Black stamps; it's design is not the typical card design and I love the colors.

One of the sneak peeks from the Hero Arts Holiday Catalog is a Dimensional Bird stamp set.

It says the stamp set includes stamps of various bird parts that you layer to make any kind of bird you want. Sounds very interesting, doesn't it?

Have you remembered that Art 'n Soul has the Hero Arts' Ombre ink pads? They're wonderful to work with and make beautiful backgrounds.

The Impression Obsession latest release comes with designs from Seth Apter, one of the most popular mixed media artists these days. Laura has used three of his new stamp designs to make this card.

I'm very anxious to order Seth's stamps from Impression Obsession at Art 'n Soul. I don't know when the next open catalog is but I'll be there with my pink sheet order!

I'll leave with this 'humor' from Rosie's Roadshow . . .I just love those little chicken stamps!
