Making cards for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments at the local infusion center is something I like to do. I haven't been very good about it but I have a renewed determination. I don't want the cards to sound sympathetic or look like a 'get well' card; I want the cards to be enlightening, supporting, uplifting, cheerful and/or humorous. Here's my latest card . . .

Love the technique that Marnie used for this card on the Memory Box blog. After cutting the die, she used the remaining negative as a 'stencil' to provide the shadows of the die cuts before adhering them down. Another stencil provided the background design.

During the summer, flip-flops seem to be the shoe of choice for many of our younger family members as well as us oldies. I loved this card by Karen Amidon for Impression Obsession's Summer Blog . . . a Flip Flop Wreath!

Heather Telford has made a beautiful card (doesn't she always!) for a blog challenge to CASE, i.e. "copy and steal everything", her own card design from a while back.

Watch for the next class schedule . . . Terry Medaris is returning to Art 'n Soul on June 19 and 20. They were in-demand classes last year and he'll be teaching 3 classes on this visit. In addition, Terry will bring his terrific Trunk Show.
Tomorrow, there's a Rosie's Roadshow class at Art 'n Soul AND delivery of our order. I'm sure there will be extras; if you want the best choice, you better be at the store on Saturday afternoon!
Sunday is Mother's Day. Art 'n Soul will be closed to allow our wonderful staff to enjoy this special day with their family. So whatever it is you were planning to purchase at Art 'n Soul this weekend, you'll need to do it on Saturday. Thanks for understanding.
See you soon . . . thanks so much for your visit!
