Art 'n Soul's Inspiration Station this month features the Stamp Set "Bird Crazy" from Stamper's Anonymous' Tim Holtz Collection.

"Bird Crazy" Tim Holtz Collection

Today's Inspiration Station card is a jazzy shaker card by Pam with a watercolor background.

by Pam Nelson
  • Birds watercolored with Tombow Markers, Perfect Pearls and water on watercolor paper and then cut out
  • Background paper:  "Smooshing" technique using Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio, Perfect Pears and water
  • Alphabet:  Dreamweaver Die Set on paper colored with Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber
  • Shaker Frame:  So Silk Card Stock in Fair Blue

I love the bokeh technique and Carole Dion has nailed it on the Magenta blog. It's wonderful that the Magenta template is perfect for the technique! And, of course, Carole has used one of my absolute favorite Magenta stamp images!

Marnie Bushmole has made a beautiful card that I think would be beautiful as a Christmas card with a different sentiment stamp.

What's interesting to me is that the greenery is a stamp, not a die cut. The added stickles certainly gives a real dimensional effect.

On the Poppy Stamps' blog there is an adorable shaker card using the new Cover Squirrel stamp and matching die, along with the Shaker Square Frames die-set.

On the Ranger Ink blog, Jenn Shurkus has made a "Fragile Bee Mixed Media Card" that I really like because of the dimensional background. Check it out!

On the IMAGINE Crafts' blog, Penny Ward celebrates Memorial Day with an American Flag. She's using the new StazOn Studio Glaze which will be demo'd at the Art n' Soul Birthday Party on June 14. Did we mention that John Creighton Petersen will be there to show off the new products from IMAGINE Crafts?

Dina Kowal shows us a beautiful watercolor card. She has used a peel-off from Elizabeth Craft Designs to contain the colors. Of course, she uses that new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens that we've been drooling about since seeing it first on Sandy Allnock's blog. To add new products to be intrigued about, Dina also uses the Akashiya Sai markers. Both are available on Amazon.

Susie bought a set of the Zig pens and seems to like them and the brush size. She experimented on these coloring postcards . . .

I think I'm going to have to order the Postcard Stamp from Penny Black (1369L). I love what Jill Foster creates with that background stamp.

This appears to be a paper fish lantern that I discovered
on the internet; I loved him and wanted to share with you.
