Alert! Alert! Some of the new Gelli Plates arrived today and if you don't get to the store really quick, you may miss out! We only have the following Gelli Plates available (as of closing earlier today):  1 Round; 1 5x7; and 4 3x5's. Better be quick!

Next weekend at the store is going to be busy. Play Day is on Saturday (Sept. 20), and Marj is going to lead the play using shrink plastic. There's so much you can do with shrink plastic and if there's anyone who can be creative and artistic with it, it's Marj!

On Sunday, John Creighton Petersen is teaching a bezel class. What you do with the bezels is your choice . . . pendant, book cover ornament, to name just a couple of ideas. John has been gaining national recognition with his bead and ice resin artistry.

Sunday, Sept 21, 12pm to 5pm, BEZEL BASICS – John Petersen  $45
Learn to create your own bezels using ICE Resin including how to use resin, cold enamelings,
and adding inclusions from Prima.  You’ll also learn how to incorporate your favorite papers and
create resin beads! You’ll complete two projects in class – a bezel and a faux pocket watch.
While waiting for your bezels to set you’ll create a wrapped ball chain necklace.

Sign up soon . . . I know Susie and I personally can't wait for this class. It's going to be awesome . . . the photos really don't show how fabulous these bezels are. Please stop in or call the store at 360.357.6820 to sign up.

I love this card from the Magenta blog. Ellie Knol always shares such beautiful artistry in her cards, and this one is superb.

I met Renee Bolton while she was an Artist-in-Residence for IMAGINE Crafts last year. Her work is published in some of the Stampington publications. Renee posted an awesome collage work-in-progress for her journal in answer to a challenge call. Take a look . . .

I really admire the work of Judy Jung who contributes postings to the Penny Black blog quite frequently. I found this posting on Judy's blog, "Livin' the Dream". I like this card she made in answer to a Case Study Challenge this week, and I'm already thinking of other color combinations for this style of card.

That's it for tonight. Sue looks forward to seeing y'all at Art 'n Soul tomorrow (Saturday)!
