There is an instruction on how to use the 'thanks' die from Memory Box so it is attached to the paper without using adhesive. See how Jenny Griffiths made this card . . .

On the Poppy Stamp blog, this is a great way to use the Superstar Border Die for a birthday card.

From the Stampington blog, a neat summer project. It wasn't the project that attracted me so much as the colors that wow'd me!

From the Elizabeth Craft Designs' blog, Kelly Booth has made a very nice non-gender specific birthday card.

I actually found time to spend in the studio to finish an earlier start on a card. I wanted to take what I learned from Lisa Lee's class using Yasutomo's Splash Inks on an Art Board from Inchie Arts.

SUPPLIES USED:
  • 4-inch Art Square from Inchie Arts
  • Green Mirrircard Card Stock from The Paper Cut (4.5 inches square)
  • Purple Card Stock (4.25 inches square)
  • Washi Paper (4.75 inches square)
  • 140 lb. cold-press watercolor paper cut & scored, 5.75 inch square card
  • STAMPS:
    • Magenta -- Geranium Leaf (H.0663)
    • Magenta -- Distressed Corner (41.065.J)
    • Hampton Art diffusion F -- Dream
  • StazOn Midi Solvent Ink in Gothic Purple
  • GooseBumps Texture Spray in Clear
  • Splash Inks:  Green, Black, Blue, Yellow
  • JudiKins Aquamarine Twinkle Embossing Powder (EP072)
  • Miscellaneous:  Scor-Tape; toothpick

While I was 'on a roll', I also made this card for someone going through a challenging time. For this card, I stamped directly onto designer paper and colored the stamped image with colored pencils -- one of my favorite to-do's that I learned long ago from a class taught by Helene Metivier, Magenta. I love how you pick up subtle color nuances from the designer paper. In this instance, I also went around the background and colored in with the light aqua color.
