this is a friend's puppy, Stella
isn't she adorable?

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY
hope your celebration was filled with the
best fun with friends and family

One of the nice things about working at Art 'n Soul is when someone stops in and you discover they are a craftsman. James Ellefson came into the store looking for stamps and inks that he can use to make thank you cards to send to his customers when they purchase one of his handmade leather products. He's in Olympia.

with leather and designed by hand

I was quite impressed with his artistic skill, and I loved how his art form spreads to our art form, fine art rubber stamping.

I don't know if you've noticed the new sample boards that arrived with the recent Dreamweaver Stencil order. They showcase beautiful stencil work. The display also features a stenciled card by our Marj Marion, too.

Four new 8x8 paper pads from Authentique and 1 new 6x6 paper pad from SEI are at the store . . .

When you need special papers for your next card, art journal, scrapbook page, mixed media project or whatever it is you're working on, we're pretty sure you'll find just what you want at Art 'n Soul. Please check us out now because we've added a lot of new papers in the last week.

Please remember we have a Play Day coming this Friday (10:30 to 4:30 p.m.) at Art 'n Soul. We're going to explore what we see in sidewalk cracks to make art with. It's totally fun and requires no experience . . . it's quite an enlightening experience. I'll be there around 10:30 and Susie will be joining in sometime in the afternoon. What to bring?
  • a light box, if you have one
  • writing pencil and ART eraser
  • Micron pen
  • what you'd like to color with, i.e., colored pencils, Copic markers, Pan Pastels, Tombow markers, Memento markers, Stickles, Fireworks!, etc.

We'll see you tomorrow.
