I'm back! These last 4 days at the store have been fun and I just couldn't stay awake last night after I returned home. So after a good night's rest, I'm somewhat refreshed. Our little Hannah had to go to the veterinary clinic today to get her teeth cleaned; because she has jaws of steel when it comes to prying her mouth open, they had to totally anesthetize her for the all-day procedure.

New at the store . . . a partial delivery of new washi tapes!

And today, new stamps and some matching dies from Hanko Designs arrived! Yay, Patti, for getting them out so soon!

You are so in luck! Marj's "Inlaid Watercolor Diecuts" Class on April 12 filled up. She has scheduled a second class on Monday, April 14, between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. If you couldn't get into the April 12 class, you should sign up right away for the class on the 14th!

"INLAID WATERCOLOR DIECUTS"
Monday, April 14, 5:30-8:00 pm., INLAID WATERCOLOR DIECUTS, Marj, $30
Marj is combining two all-time favorites.....Die Cutting and Watercolor into this class with beautiful results. Come explore some of Marj’s favorite Watercolor mediums and learn techniques for successful Inlaid die cuts. You’ll make several card tops with an accent panel, and then finish your cards at home. There will be a variety of dies used in class, so class samples only show some of the possibilities for your card tops. We’ll add some stamped messages to these Spring-themed cards. Please bring your Basic Kit and check the student supply list when you register. (This is a repeat of a class held on April 12)

While I was working at the store yesterday, Patti Ritterhouse came into the store to show me 2 quick cards she had made using the new Graphic 45 Botanical Tea collection and Spellbinders' dies. She cut out the picture cards from one of the decorated papers, placed them on a die-cut background sheet, and

From Splash of Color, a video on how to blend those beautiful Inka Gold Metallic Rubs that we have on the front counter at Art 'n Soul. Inka Gold is a non-toxic water-based metallic paint that can be rubbed onto any surface, easily blends between colors, and quickly dries with a beautiful sheen.

And here's a blog posting that shows how to use the Inka Gold with water . . .

From the Magenta blog, a very cool tag using a wood embellishment that was part of our Magenta order that arrived last Wednesday. The wood embellishment is on the revolving pedestal stand.

I'll be back tomorrow. In the meantime, please stop in at Art 'n Soul and let Patty show you what's new! And if you're unable to get in right away and you've seen something you really want, be sure to call the store so she can reserve it for you . . . 360.357.6820!
