IMAGINE Crafts Blog Hop with Ruby Rock-It
The IMAGINE Crafts’ Artists-in-Residence have been very excited to share their projects using the Ruby Rock-It Joyeux Noel Paper Pack. And in doing this project, I have fallen in love with IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko’s Brilliance Fast-Drying Pigment Ink in Rocket Red Gold. I thought the color was the perfect partner to Ruby Rock-It papers and embellishments!
- Cover chipboard on all sides, including edges, with the Rocket Red Gold Brilliance ink; allow to dry. (chipboard size: 5-13/16 inches across and 5-1/4 inches tall)
- Apply background paper and the top paper layer to the front and back covers with strong double-sided adhesive tape. (background paper is 5-3/4 inches across and 5-3/8 inches tall; top paper is 5-9/16 inches across and 5 inches tall).
- Cut 2 pieces of the same background paper for the inside covers (5-3/4 inches across by 5-3/8 inches tall); adhere securely with a strong double-sided adhesive.
- Using a sponge dauber, apply Brilliance ink in Rocket Red Gold and Pearlescent Jade to the top papers (front and back covers) and the inside background paper. Apply, by pouncing, Goosebumps in Shimmer to the front and back covers with the dauber top.
- Cut lace-looking border strip from one of the 12x12 papers and cut to the width of each inside cover background paper (5-9/16 inches across). With the sponge dauber, apply the Brilliance Rocket Red Gold to the both strips. Lay down ribbon trim that will go under the strips, around the spines of the watercolor card stock pages, and back across the top of the strips; adhere the ribbon with 1/4-inch Scor-Tape.
- Cut watercolor card stock into six (6) pages of 5-9/16 inches across and 5 inches tall. Edge all pages with the Brilliance Rocket Red Gold ink. Line up all pages and punch 2 holes on the side to match the covers.
- FRONT COVER: a) layer, with a brad, the candy cane and poinsettia die-cut silhouettes, and attach to the bottom half of the Eiffel Tower with a large zot; b) stamp the “Merry Christmas” stamp with the Brilliance Rocket Red Gold ink, followed with a layer of Goosebumps in Shimmer; c) cut a border strip from one of the 12x12 papers and adhere with double-sided adhesive tape, and then border on each side with the Ruby Rock-It self-adhesive Bling strip; d) apply more individual bling to the top of the Eiffel Tower, center of the poinsettia, and bottoms of the top two candy cane stems.
- BACK COVER: a) affix the die-cut silhouettes with large zots; b) layer several of the poinsettia silhouettes with a brad and adhere with a large zot; c) add individual crystal to the package bows, under star on the ornament, and center of each soldier jacket; d) apply 2 rows of self-adhesive blling to the top of the back cover.
- INSIDE PAGES: Place a stocking die-cut silhouette to the lower right corner of each page by daubing Goosebumps on the backside of the silhouette, daub Goosebumps to the lower right corner of the page, place the stocking on the affected area, and apply Goosebumps to the outside edges of the stocking.
- With gold elastic cord, run through the holes and tie into a good triple knot.
